The Economist ~ TUP endorses Ayame Crocodile for CP

Day 2,353, 10:29 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Spite313

Dear friends,

After election day I took over as spokesman for The Unity Party until TUP can be returned to our hands officially next month. Although control of the official ingame endorsement remains with the PTO group until then, we have continued as normal and been in close communication with all members about our plans for the coming month.

We recently held a poll to decide who we would back for CP. The results are as follows:

Ayame Crocodile (ACroc): 73.9%
I don’t want democracy, I want pie!: 21.7%
Adastros: 4.3%

As you can see it was a close battle, but it seems people overcame their desire for pie for long enough to vote for ACroc.

When Acroc first ran for CP last year I had my doubts about him. He was seen by many in the party to be quite soft and we were concerned that he wouldn’t have the iron in him to be CP. Fortunately we were pleasantly surprised when he became one of the best CPs we’ve ever had, uniting the country and providing a strong moral voice, something we need in these turbulent times.

With the UK under threat of PTO, we need a leader who can represent all interested parties. I believe that ACroc can do that. TUP itself has candidates it could run, but I feel that ACroc would be the better choice for this month, as he reaches out to a wider group than a TUP CP would. I messaged the party on this and the response I got was overwhelmingly positive- ACroc is our choice for the next President of the UK.

As a final aside, on the topic of PTO I have noticed an article or two which equates the fact that some TUP members are not RL British with the importing of Serb PTOers. This is nonsense. TUP has several Serbian members and one was PP here for five months. I myself have friends in eSerbia and will always respect them even when we are on opposite sides. But we never targeted any country or group to invite voters to the UK. It’s simply the case that upon joining a new country most people join a party with people they know or recognise. Because TUP has many internationally famous members, we attracted more immigrants. It’s worth noting however that other parties, especially UKRP, have also traditionally had high numbers of citizens from other eNations in their parties. If you cannot see the difference between someone who emigrates to a country then chooses a party because their friends are there, and someone who emigrates to seize power, you have a faulty moral compass.

In conclusion, TUP supports Ayame Crocodile for Country President.

Unity Is Strength!
