The Asia Pacific Alliance and its Purpose

The Asia Pacific Alliance

As the Interim Chancellor of the Asia Pacific Alliance, I felt it was time to come forward and discuss a little about what it is and stands for.

There has been much discussion in the eWorld regarding the APA, some good, some neutral, and some, especially by eArgentina, which is just plain outright Lies. So, I thought it was time for a small article to discuss a bit about it, what it stands for and what its aim or goals are. That should then put the minds of EDEN and TERRA High Commands at ease and it will outline exactly what it stands for and no other nation can spread lies about it and eAustralia's involvement like eArgentina has done.

The APA's main Purpose is outlined specifically in its Charter - Article II –Purpose:

The Asia Pacific Alliance shall be for the purpose of Defence of its Member Nations under the terms and conditions of this Charter as outlined below:

1) to form a solid and lasting Asia Pacific Alliance of Nations, in the Defence of each Member Nations Regions.

2) to defend each Member Nations right to maintain and continue to govern over its own Regions.

3) to present a platform for Member Nations to discuss peacefully and diplomatically any differences between them.

4) to discuss Trade and other intelligence, diplomatic and foreign policy affecting Member Nations.

5) While the Alliance and its Members do not seek to enter conflict, the Alliance will stand as one against any aggression towards Members in Defence of their Sovereign Regions.

6) Member Nations also agree, that in attacking another nation, they shall always ensure that one (1) Sovereign Region remains to them.

It should be noted here, that the APA is not an Alliance of war first and formost, but is based on regional Union, United Action, Diplomacy and Defence of Member Nations Sovereign Regions.

It over looks the Old World views of ONE, TERRA and EDEN. The Alliance is not concerned about which alliance you may be in or have been in prior to membership in the APA, provided you understand that acting against another member of the Alliance will call down the full alliance membership upon your nation. Acting against another nation that is not a member of the Alliance in an unprovoked attack will leave you alone, as your internal politics are your own.

Unlike other Alliances, no single Member Nation can control the whole Alliance. Every Member Nation within the Alliance has an equal voice, no nation has more or less of a voice because they may be bigger or smaller than another nation. The APA will not dictate what MPPs Member Nations may choose to have by its elected Government and will not interfer in the internal politics of any Member Nation, but will act diplomatically should issues arise. A war footing by the Alliance and its members would be a last resort.

eAustralia's membership in the Asia Pacific Alliance is NOT based on ONE, TERRA or even EDEN alliances. eAustralia, while generally Pro-TEDEN is more interested in forging ahead with regional stability in the Asia Pacific Region, its the reason it was one of the first Members. eAustralia is not concerned with nations that are members of the APA that are or were Pro-ONE or not, what matters to eAustralia is regional stability and Regional Unity with the ability for Member Nations to exist in the World, even if only with one region, which is one of the main points of the APA Charter. Be the new members to the Alliance Pro-ONE, or Pro-TEDEN, the ultimate decision of who will have membership is based on a vote of the Member Nations of the APA, not one individual nation or other Alliance.

If nations are interested in finding out more about the APA and membership, the Charter can be seen here: http://apa.auserepublik.com/index.php?topic=6.0

If Nations have questions, then the Country President is free to contact me either via eRepublik or via IRC on the Rizon Server. Xavier_Griffith on IRC and I'm usually in the #APAPublic room.
