THE AIRCRAFT MODE

Day 3,397, 22:06 Published in USA Netherlands by Feynmann

Hi guys,

Today I have decided to go for the aircraft mode and more specifically the ways for the poor newbs like me to get some cash out of the skies while building up their air ranks in the meantime.

As with my earlier article this one is mostly for the new players, but as always I much appreciate the opinion and the experience of the old players sharing their insights on the matter.

So with that said lets go

The Aircraft mode

The aircraft mode mixes aircraft battles with the regular ground based battles. To be more specific for every 3 ground based battles that have been completed in a campaign the fourth one will be an aircraft battle. There are no divisions in the aircraft mode so you will be on the battlefield with all kinds of players in terms of rank and experience. The aircraft battle rewards the winning side with 22 campaign points (the first side to reach 94 points wins), which makes them really important as the ground based battle can reward a maximum of 11 point per round with all 4 Divisions winning.

The influence you will be dealing in an aircraft battle depends on your Perception, Aircraft rank and the different quality of aircraft weapon you use. As for the current stage of the game the developers have implemented only the Aircraft rank and the Q1 type of aircraft weapons. That means that until the perception ability is introduced your influence will be calculated by your Aircraft rank and weather you use Q1 aircraft weapon or not. When the perception ability is introduced I believe it will probably become the leading influence factor as is the strength in the ground based battles, because you will be able to increase your perception, by daily training, in some aircraft simulator or some other type of building and it will probably cost a lot of gold and the developers love the spenders 😉 The higher quality Aircraft weapons will probably have similar impact to the higher quality ground based weapons.

IMPORTANT: Some of the features of the ground based battles will NOT work in the Aircraft battles. For example bazookas, small and big bombs, the Ghost booster or regular 1min – 24hour damage boosters.
Other features like the Damage accelerator will work. The 10% natural enemy bonus will also work.
Keep that in mind.

So lets move to the interesting “make it rain” part

As I already pointed above the Aircraft battles are very important in terms of points provided for a campaign. And since the influence dealt by a single player is relatively small due to the lack of Perception and Higher quality Aircraft weapons the Combat order provided payment for certain amount of influence dealt in a particular wall percentage of the battle are sometime insanely high. That means that even poor new players can make quite a lot of cash if they choose their battle wisely. Now the amount of cash you can receive will be higher if you use Aircraft weapons since you will deal more damage.

Not to be speaking without evidence let’s take for example my own current situation:

My current aircraft rank is Staff Sergeant*

Let say I deal 40 damage/hit without a weapon. With an average 3 hits needed to defeat an enemy I deal 120 damage.

In terms of payment the Combat order reward usually goes from 25-30 000 to 50 - 60 000- Country currency/million damage dealt, but I have seen battles with 180 000 CC per million. It all depends on the battle and the determination of each of the sides to win.

So lets take some common CO payment of 35 000cc/ million

The 120 damage I just dealt with the 3 hits will reward me with 4.2 cc. or 1.4 cc per hit. With a health pool of 500 and assuming you are at full health + you have your another 500 Health charged up for recovery, you will be able to deal 100 hits which account for 140 cc. With some careful timing and wise battle selection I believe that that can be done at least twice a day so in that case the cash goes to 280 cc for 2 battles without even using weapons.

If there is some insane amount of payment like lets say 180 000 per million your 1 hit payment jumps from 1.4 cc to 7.2 cc which for the 100 hits accounts for 720 cc. That scenario will probably be possible only once a day or once in a few days, because the usual co payment doesn't get that high so often. But 720 cc is not bad payment from a single battle for a new player without even using weapons. In those kind of highly profitable battles one may consider spending a few energy bars to maximize his/her profit, but this is entirely up to the particular player.

The Aircraft weapons can make a difference, BUT since they are a Q1 weapon their durability (the number of hits you can deal with 1 weapon) is only 1. That means if you want to fight with weapons you have to make quite the stockpile of them. And since their price is similar to buying Swarovski stones I usually buy some only if the Combat order payment is insanely high. When you check the CO payment you can decide for yourself weather it will be profitable for you to use weapons or not. Some players may sell you Q1 weapons for price lower than the market price, but BE AWARE FOR SCAMMERS. If you buy anything directly from a player only buy from reputable ones. Maybe post on your Military unit wall or ask your MU leader to help you. There are also a lot of Military units that offer to supply you with weapons if you work in their commune companies for a minimal wage – check that with your military unit. And finally there are also some governmental programs that can help you too. You can check that with your country president or on your official governmental newspaper.

Selecting your Aircraft battle

First you want to check the wars list

An Aircraft battle is marked on the wars list like so

To make the most money out of an Aircraft battle look for battles with a very close score between the sides fighting. Both sides will probably be offering quite big Combat order prize for your damage.

Quick note: Even if the battle is not an Aircraft battle, but the score is very close, and there is even no Combat order active there, keep in mind that the battle will become and Aircraft one on the fourth and eight rounds and since the score is close the sides will probably offer quite the Combat order reward. So if you see that kind of battle you could wait a bit and see how will that progress.

Try choosing Air battles that have both sides offering substantial amount of CO reward. It often happens that if only one side offers money a lot of players will be fighting for this side and the wall percentage will skyrocket in one direction and since you can win the money only up to a certain wall domination percentage you will end up with no cash. But if both sides offer money for your damage once the wall passes the selected percentage you can switch sides and earn money fighting for the other side.

IMPORTANT: Check if the CO budget is not depleted yet so you won't end up with no money

IMPORTANT: Once you have selected your side and you are on the battlefield BEFORE you start hitting check this slider and put a tick the selected Combat order. The ordered wall domination percentage has to correspond with the current wall domination percentage. If you don’t put a tick on the combat order or if the wall domination do not correspond you won't receive any money for your damage.

If you have everything checked you are good to go insane and fly around like Tom Cruise while watching your bank account pile up.

IMPORTANT: One more time be sure to keep an eye on the WALL DOMINATON PERCENTAGE – check it regularly and if it goes above the specified percentage in the combat order STOP HITTING. Switch sides and earn some money from the other side's CO or wait for the wall to drop a bit.

Additional notes:

To make the most out of every battle check if it is possible for you to combine fighting in the aircraft battle with applying some stacks on your Freedom Fighter medal or the Mercenary medal. This is easy with the 25 kills stack on the Freedom fighter medal and the Mercenary medal always requires only 25 kills per country so it is easy too. As you will probably defeat most of your enemies with multiple hits, say 3 on average, it will be a lot more difficult for a young player with limited health pool to score the 50 and 75 kill stacks on the Freedom fighter medal. For that case I find it easier to go for ground based battles using Ghost booster and Q7 tanks. I have explained that strategy in my previous article THE GHOST BOOSTER – you can check it out. Also if there is no suitable Aircraft battle you can go hunting Freedom fighter medals using the Ghost booster strategy or take the day of – work, train, meet with someone - enjoy your digital self 😃

So FINALLY the recap

- Fighting in air battles could be fun and also quite rewarding in terms of cash gain. The profit from an air battle could sometimes reach 1000 cc if you select your battle wisely, but on an average basis a new player can easily make about 200-300 CC without even using weapons, only with carefully choosing his battles. That is usually more than a working salary per day and can be easily achieved.

- With every Aircraft battle you will be advancing through the air ranks so you will deal more influence in the future, therefore increasing your profit from every subsequent battle.

- Increasing your Aircraft rank will give you a better start when the Perception ability is introduced - if the aircraft influence formula is to be similar to the ground based battles then the higher rank will give you a bit more to your punch in the beginning when your Perception is still low. In addition, there are hints in the eRep wiki, suggesting that you will be able to use higher quality air weapons only if you have a corresponding Air rank. If that turns out to be true there is another reason to build up your Air rank.

- If you are concerned about your experience points piling up, because of the multiple experience points gained per enemy defeated you can just fight only in Aircraft battles that will provide you with a lot of cash as a compensation for the XP spent.

- Using Aircraft weapons should be done wisely and only in battles that can refund your expenses, because your expenses using weapons will be substantial for a new player.
