The 2021 Winter CoRe Awards #biesdchallenge

Day 4,828, 08:17 Published in Belgium Belgium by Raskol the Righteous

Dear readers of the Holy Bulletin,

Today’s article has two objectives. The first objective is to participate in the Monthly Challenge issued by the BIESD initiative by submitting this article. This month’s topic is “How to improve the BIESD?”. We will answer this question by completing the second objective: Launching the first Church of Rebirth Awards (CoRe Awards).

Here at the Holy Bulletin Editorial Board, we strongly believe that the community is the most important feature of the New Word. Therefore, we believe any initiative (such as the BIESD) must involve the community.

There are several ways to involve the community regarding education and social development in an eCountry:

1) A mentor program (there was one in the past)
2) Contests (such as the Monthly Challenge)
3) Awards to incite and to promote positive behavior towards new and/or other players

We believe the Monthly Challenge to be a good first step but the BIESD must explore new ways if it wants to remain relevant in a country such as eBelgium. Few players means less activity. Lack of activity means the cost of any meta initiative outgrows the benefits it generates. In consequence, there must be incentives when it comes to community development.

Once again, the community is what drives the Church of Rebirth. And that is why we would like to announce the first CoRe Awards. Each season, eBelgians will be rewarded for their outstanding accomplishments contributing to the development of eBelgium and its community.

The CoRe Awards recognize their work and their effort into making eBelgium a better place. For now, only one award will be attributed. We want to give BIESD some time to develop and to propose their own awards if they feel like it.

To be eligible for a CoRe Award, you must:

1) Be an eBelgian citizen
2) Be at least level 25
3) Have a different nickname than Raskol the Righteous

To nominate someone, you can send a PM to Raskol the Righteous, identifying the person you want to nominate, for which award and for what reason.

Upon winning a CoRe Award, you are granted:

1) 10 Gold
2) The eternal recognition of being a community builder

The 2021 Winter CoRe Awards

This season, only one award will be granted : the CoRe Award for Community Building. This award recognizes the efforts made to improve the vitality and the durability of the community.

You can now send your nominees here. Next week, on Sunday the 14th February, the vote will begin.
On the 21st February, the first recipient of the CoRe Award for Community Building will be announced.

May they leave the darkness and see the Light of the New World again.

Raskol the Righteous,
Harbinger of the Church of Rebirth
