T-shirt design video
Plato
Dear Citizens,
Customized articles
Some basic features are back for the media section: Citizens can now insert bold text, links and videos in their articles and press releases.
We had to remove this feature in late November for security reasons and just like you we didn't like not being able to use them in our Daily Erepublik articles.
To test the Youtube integration, George just created a funny video this evening presenting the first Erepublik official T-shirt. He used Marius ("le designer") as a model and here's what they came up with:

Daily Erepublik translated in Spanish
We really appreciated the initiative of [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/profile-13068.html]Citizen Taguaro[/a] that translated our [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-73041.html]latest Daily Erepublik article[/a] and posted the [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-74141.html]Spanish version[/a] in [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/company-3089.html]Piticli News[/a] newspaper
Until we will have Erepublik live in more languages, these ideas and initiatives are helping the communication within our community.
Rules in companies
We noticed many improvements in the Human Ressources market as contracts and rules are established.
[a url=http://www.erepublik.com/profile-12934.html]Chrisclamp[/a], for example, presented in [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-70701.html]this article[/a] the internal rules of his company. Interesting is the fact that the rules also give benefits to the employees.
Any feedback or suggestions you may have on how to better administrate an Erepublik company is welcome.
The Erepublik team

Wow this looks great, thanks 😃
The eastern accent is just beautiful!
Where exactly are you guys based, if you don\'t mind me asking? Your dev team is Romanian, but your exec team is French?
aboute the \"rules in companies\", i will report to this topic in the suggestion-forum: http://www.erepublik.com/forum-topic-1583.html.
Regards.
I just wanna say that i published employee rules long before chris and i was the first to impliment an employee health scheme giving away gifts. Also factor into this the fact that chris used to work in my company and you get the full picture.
hoooo..... it\'s suprised me .. not only alexis\'s daughter....
Looks like there may be a problem in the URL parsing code. A link in [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-83611.html]this article[/a] seems to break it no matter how I change the link text or url. Or am I just missing something?
great! just in time for my video tutorials!! perfect 🙂 (and Platonic, Alexis is based in Spain where they will be hiring their full-time marketing guy!)
It\'s good that they have added the possibiliy to add video but I somehow fear that this will result in massive spam in the media section. Today Sweden aleady suffers from this as \"serious\" articles are quickly pushed away by copypasted things from normal media. The possibility to put out dogs barking the national anthem will not help in that regard but I guess it is too early to jump to assuptions.
@ cain
I am really afraid of that to.
In the Netherlands there is the same phenomenon. All the serious articles get pushed away by non serious articles and by new users who repost old news or who just write something while they actually have no idea about the subject.
I think there should be a free news section and a subscription news section. Anyone can create and read free news but there should be the option of upgrading your paper to being a subscription paper. you have to pay for the upgrade and perhaps even people have to pay (a small fee) to read it. Perhaps you could have a level above that where you can become an International Paper and get listed in an \'international news\' section. Maybe instead of paying per read people just pay to subscribe to a paper and then they can read all articles for free. So you would have effectively Q1, Q2 and Q3 newspapers.
another option could be to filter papers according to how many subscribers they have. so the more subscribers a paper has the more visibility it gets. rate articles could be another option so you can filter according to article rating. language would be another useful filter as there are lots of good English articles around the world I would love to read but never see!
Make newspapers cost 5 gold to create or something. That should leave mostly serious newspapers.
So, When will we be able to purchase these shirts?
Mm\'kay admins, here\'s something else to look at please: http://www.erepublik.com/article-84342.html; Also, why don\'t you guys ever look into my private messages?
in Brazil, We translated all the admins\'s articles, tutorial, FAQ and etc to portuguese.. 😉
man, you guys must make so much fun of us.
ROMANIANS FOR THE WIN!
I see, habisi_aku idea finally being implemente😛 http://www.erepublik.com/article-38841.html
@ Kaleb, totally agree to the visibility based on suscribers and views. Would make sense and avoid the spams.
I also say that it\'s a good idea about that Kaleb sugested.
the issue about media spam that is a real one and @Kaleb suggestions are great.
Media is one of the sections that will be significantly improved in the next few weeks (digg like system plus a few cool things some along the lines of the above suggestions) . The admin will try to share in more detail in a future daily and additional ideas are welcome.
@benn dover, admin will look into it I\'m sure they are a little behind on some direct messages but eventually they get to it.
@platonic we have several nationalities in the team, dev and admin team is based in Bucharest Romania and marketing / corporate team is based in Madrid Spain and yes we are looking for a marketing exec to be based in Madrid (he / she will work directly with me): http://www.erepublik.com/blog/we-are-hiring-in-our-madrid-office/
@faltnor soon ;o)
Oh and I can\'t wait to give that T-Shirt to my daughter at 9 months old she sure is a new citizen ;o)
Thanks for the mention.
Yes, Paul Hudson did indeed post rules long before I did, I simply done it because I saw his company was being run quite well in the time I worked for him.
I was not aware of the gifts thing, I did that merely so my employees presented higher productivity and so they didn\'t die on me.
Chris.
ahaah, now the spam will rule in Portugal... omg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want a t-shirt like that! Where an i buy one?
I\'m going to be looking for the next Daily eRepublik release so that I can post this comment as the first post, but.... The monetary market is a fricken MESS at the moment. PLEASE admins, take a look. It\'s eaten like 5.5 of my gold (and yes, that is a significant amount to me).
kool
Euuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh why is my post removed :/
How do the dude get the mini t-shirt hanging on his body?
Good work on the new features, personally i really have use for bold text. 🙂
