Spring awaking

a little music to get in the mood

For a long, long time now there is a cabin in the woods of the Ardennes. Nowadays only etoddlers and echildren can see that cabin in the woods. eGrownups have lost the magic to see. Except from a few exceptions like me. So let me tell you the story of how Winter becomes Spring Let me bring the magic back in to your hearts.

Every year at the end of eWinter when the edays get longer and the enights get shorter the same thing occurs. Primavera meets Inverno in the eloge. They speak the magic eWords…
I am Inverno, the Spirit of eWinter," said the Queen of eWinter. "I blow my ebreath, and the streams stand still. The water becomes stiff and hard as clear stone."

"I am Primavera, the Spirit of eSpring," answered the youth. "I breathe, and flowers spring up in the meadows and woods."

"I shake my locks," said the winter eQueen, "and snow covers the land. The leaves fall from the trees, and my breath blows them away. The eBirds fly to a distant eland, and the animals hide themselves from the cold."

"I shake my ringlets," said the young eWoman, "and warm showers of soft rain fall upon the earth. The flowers lift their heads from the ground, the grass grows thick and green. My eVoice recalls the eBirds, and they come flying joyfully from the eSouthland. The warmth of my breath unbinds the streams, and they sing the songs of eSummer. Music fills the groves wherever I walk, and all nature rejoices."

And while they were talking thus a wonderful change took place. The sun began to rise. A gentle warmth stole over the eplace. Inverno, the Queen of Winter, became silent. Here head drooped, and the snow outside the lodge melted away. Primavera, the Spirit of eSpring, grew more radiant, and rose joyfully to her feet. The robin and the bluebird began to sing on the top of the lodge. The stream began to murmur at the door, and the fragrance of opening flowers came softly on the breeze.

The elodge faded away, and Inverno sank down and dissolved into tiny streams of water, that vanished under the brown leaves of the forest.

Thus the Spirit of eWinter departed, and where she had melted away, there the echildren gathered the first blossoms, fragrant and delicately pink. So goes the story off the awakening off eSpring…
