Issue 1 of ABN

This is Austria's best newspaper, a government program that encourages people to try their best to produce good articles and encourages people to start newspapers. Every Friday we will nominate the best articles posted by eAustrian citizens as decided by the president and his cabinet. An article must be nominated by the president or a cabinet member to have a chance to be in a particular Austria's Best Newspaper issue. You then vote and decide. The poll will close on the following Sunday at 12 pm eRepublik time and then the cabinet will be given a chance to vote for their favourite out the weeks nominated articles. The article with the most winners will have their newspapers advertised for free for a fortnight (two weeks) in BundesPresseDienst and Osterreich Journal among others.

This is the first article, we are seeing how well it goes and how popular it is before it is fully introduced. It is expected that if this becomes a good feature then an organisation will be created to satisfy this weekly event.

This week we have so far nominated one article and on Sunday we will decide this weeks top 3 articles. This will occur every Sunday for as long as the ABN exists.

"Bleeding the Treasury Dry" written by Towenaar
"[Kaiser] The war in the Orient!" written by Kaiser Alex.

1) The newspaper article must not be an official government article. This may bring around a thought of the cabinet being biased towards their own papers.
2) The newspaper article must be of a decent length. The article must have at least 100 characters before it can be considered a good article.
3) The newspaper article doesn't always need to contain pictures or text s although this would help your chances.
4) The newspaper article must not contain too much vulgarity or awful content.
5) The newspaper article must not be breaking any eRepublik laws.
