South African War Escalates: Phoenix puts South America in Jeopardy
•

People talk about the pendulum that is eRepublik’s power structure. One group of countries rise, another group falls. The rising powers then attacking the falling powers, forcing baby booms and efforts which inevitably cause the falling powers to start rising again. And thus, the world powers trade dominance back and forth. While I do not necessarily hold with this idea entirely, it is prophetic with regards to South Africa.
Anyone familiar with South Africa’s tormented history will know about the major clash between Indonesia and the ATLANTIS Alliance over South Africa. Argentina and the United States attempted to stop the advance of the rising Indonesian Empire in South Africa. Both would fail, leading to South Africa and later Argentina being taken over by the Indonesians. The long term effects of this defeat would be huge, with Argentina leaving the ATLANTIS Alliance and ultimately allying with their former occupiers, and South Africa becoming occupied in parts by Indonesia for the rest of its history. The Indonesian conquest of South Africa was in essence the dawn of their overseas Empire and cemented its position as the leading world power. It is therefore most fitting that the last stand of that Empire is now occurring in South Africa, as Indonesia rallies to defend its last overseas holding in the Battle of the Northern Cape.
Yesterday, I discussed Indonesia’s plans to enter South America using a war with Argentina. Today Argentina has formally declared war on South Africa and region swapped into the country, destroying an Indonesian territory and Q5 hospital in the process. Argentina’s entrance into the South Africa war is indicative of yet another attempt by the South American powers (Argentina and Brazil) to escape the confines of their Continent. Argentina does not have any High Diamonds, so a colony in South Africa would be as useful to them as a High Iron would be to Indonesia. However, the way Phoenix is orchestrating this operation is baffling. By region swapping Argentina into South Africa while the Battle of the Northern Cape is active, Phoenix has made the fight the deciding battle and last stand of the Indonesian Empire. If South Africa defeats the Indonesian’s now, they are eliminated from the country and reduced to home territory. With Australia protected by EDEN and Malaysia having handily held off repeated invasions from Indonesia, a defeat in Northern Cape would render Indonesia to the second tier of world countries (if they were not already there). With Indonesia eliminated, South Africa could then turn its attention to the nascent Argentine invasion, which is sure to start soon; if only to initiative lock any South Africa efforts to advance.
This whole affair show’s that Phoenix still has not figured out that EDEN’s mobile forces are incredibly powerful and dangerous. I do not say this as a propaganda term, but as a statement of fact. The USA alone has Hundreds of mobile troops. During a good mass attack, the USA has several hundred people in the IRC room awaiting action. These forces are now deployed heavily to South Africa and busily burying the wall into the Underground in Northern Cape without MPP’s (which have now been signed anyhow). Phoenix may have intended this operation as a way to strengthen their hold in South America by introducing Indonesia and giving Argentina a High Diamond region. Unfortunately, it seems they did not calculate on South Africa deciding to fight back, and more importantly, they did not factor in the arrival of hundreds of EDEN soldiers. This could now have the opposite effect on South America.
It is no secret that ALA (The South American Alliance) is nothing more than a secondary front for Phoenix (and PEACE GC before them). Few in America have forgotten how those “neutral” South American countries Mexico and Colombia conspired to deliver our country to the Russians. The icing on the cake occurred a few weeks ago, when Brazil broke an agreement they had with South Africa and used its territory to invade Australia. That particular fight was a real nail biter at times, though EDEN and Australia prevailed in the end. When it ended, South Africa prevented Australia from carrying those MPP’s to Gauteng in order drive the Brazilians off. That was before this invasion by Indonesia and Argentina, and now these events may convince the South Africans to change their neutral stance. This could spell some serious consequences for South America. Over the years, the countries have been poking at the EDEN Alliance in dangerous way’s. Colombia has a fully activated MPP stack against them in the USA. Brazil has a MPP stack against them in Australia. Brazil is also on Spain’s “Hit List” for its role in the wipe out of the Spanish last summer. The final piece of the puzzle is Poland’s colony of Peru. Brazil and Argentina both have an activated MPP with Poland in this country. See where I am going with this? All it takes is a decision by South Africa to say “enough” with the meddling of Indonesia, Brazil and Argentina, and South America could be transformed into the next big battle ground of the war between Phoenix and EDEN. And much like the UK is now, The major South American powers would be surrounded.

"It is no secret that ALA (The South American Alliance) is nothing more than a secondary front for Phoenix (and PEACE GC before them)."
That's basically because Brazil runs ALA and they are a part of Phoenix, so they make the other countries in ALA do what they want etc.

By attacking Northern Cape, South Africa has already made it's stance against its occupiers clear. Very good article, voted!

kill uk plase
Free South Africa!
We were there to stop Indos from advancing in South Africa.
EDEN STILL ROCKS
I think it's time to open a new front in S.America via S.Africa. The bigger the number of fronts, the more tactical and financial difficulties for Phoenix.
And like Alecian said, the ALA is nothing more than the puppet of Brazil. Many countries there deserve a lot of spanking.
Voted!
will someone attack an original region of brazil someday?
". These forces are now deployed heavily to South Africa and busily burying the wall into the Underground in Northern Cape without MPP’s (which have now been signed anyhow)."
So thats why you sent only 9 (nine!?!) guys over to help Romania at Sofia battle?
FAIL 😃

Free South Africa!
GO GO GO eSOUTH AFRICA!
Great article Aeros, voted again as usual!
nothing in brazil is worth attacking
Congrats to South Africa!
However, since you mentioned the hundreds of US mobile troops, how can you explain Romania received no help in Sofia? ( just like the Serbian propagandists say )

"😉uring a good mass attack, the USA has several hundred people in the IRC room awaiting action. These forces are now deployed heavily to South Africa and busily burying the wall into the Underground in Northern Cape without MPP’s"
Does this belong in an open newspaper?
LoL Romania lost Sofia
"😉oes this belong in an open newspaper?"
its no secret the US has hundreds of troops.
Hundreds? Let's be honest, it's thousands of troops 🙂 But don't worry Phoenix, your doing a great job since your inception.
Thousands? 😐 My question stands.
John, orders are orders. In all honesty, Sofia wasn't that important of a region.
90% of Phoenix countries thought differently. Romania thought differently.
For South Africa!
If We win in South Africa, the Indonesian empire is dead John. Much more important then killing Bulgaria for the second time right now.
Sorry to nitpick, but Mexico is in North America, not South America. Other than that, I'm impressed as usual. Thanks Aeros!
We better go nuts with Tanks if we want to win this. There isn't much time left.
Well, eSA won.
Indo cannot into eSA!

lol
I fought ( kamikaze actually ) in South Africa myself before Sofia was attacked. And also managed to fight 5 times in the Sofia battle. Sofia was important.. ( being the key region of Bulgaria and a crossroads in the Balkans.. and being the only real battle out there except for the ones in SA ) This is why thousands of enemy allies came to aid Serbia.
The point is that, given that Indo never seemed to put a huge resistance, 'some' help in Sofia ( the battle lasted two days ) would have been better that 'no' help.
Also, the fight in Northern Cape started after Sofia ended.
well dont count on eRomania there.
you started this $hit, ignoring us, you DEAL with it!
and I thank the croatian brothers reading these comments for the help in Sofia. it seems that it is the only big ally we can count on.
hahah Great article
and congratulations on your third MM medal 😃 i was the 3000 subscriber
