So you wanna be a mercenary eh?

For once, admin has given us the opportunity to gain an extra achievement that isn’t easy and doesn’t cost GOLD.
In order to obtain the achievement, you have to defeat 25 enemies for 50 different countries. I see a lot of people asking for clarification of this but it’s pretty clear really. For each country you are fighting for, you have to defeat 25 enemies. You can fight from home via MPP but no country is likely to have 50 MPPs. Inevitably, you will have to do some moving. There are currently 69 countries listed in the game, although some of these are wiped.
Whatever nation you are from, it’s highly unlikely that you can get this achievement without fighting for a nation that is considered an enemy of your nation or at least an enemy of your nation’s allies.
So if you’re going for this achievement, you may have to judge when it is safe for you to fight for the side you wouldn’t normally fight for.
Choose your battles wisely, or just be a general badass
As this will be read mostly by UK citizens, I shall list out the countries and try to put them in some kind of order of which countries are best to fight for. I’m not going to spend a huge amount of time deciding who is friendly and who is not and checking alliances of every single country. This is just a quick, rough guide based on the main alliances and recent history.
The easiest place to start is with allied countries. If they have direct wars, you can fight for them without moving and you can tick these off your list pretty easily.
1. UK
2. Macedonia
3. Serbia
4. Turkey
5. Indonesia
6. Hungary
7. Lithuania
8. Slovenia
9. Iran
10. Japan
11. Poland
Then there are other countries that have the same interests or are friends of our allies. UK is a pro-ONE nation.
12. Sweden
13. Latvia
14. Malaysia
15. Mexico
16. Spain
Then there are the neutral countries. I use this term loosely and you’ll have to judge which ones are ok to fight for and when. I have also included Strasbourg countries in this section, so you’ll need to be careful on when it is practical to fight for them without doing damage to any of our allies.
17. France
18. Germany
19. Portugal
20. Argentina
21. UAE
22. Austria
23. Belarus (currently wiped)
24. Belgium
25. Bolivia
26. Chile
27. Colombia
28. Cyprus
29. Czech Republik (currently wiped)
30. Denmark (currently wiped)
31. Egypt
32. Estonia
33. India
34. Israel
35. Montenegro
36. Netherlands
37. New Zealand
38. North Korea
39. Pakistan
40. Paraguay
41. Peru
42. Phillippines
43. Moldova
44. Saudi Arabia
45. Singapore
46. Slovakia
47. Switzerland
48. Taiwan
49. Thailand
50. Uruguay
51. Venezuela
And finally, the countries considered enemies or in enemy alliances. If you can avoid fighting for the following countries, it would be best.
52. Norway
53. Russia
54. Australia
55. Finland
56. Brazil
57. South Africa
58. South Korea
59. Ukraine
60. Italy
61. Bosnia
62. China
63. Bulgaria
64. Canada
65. Romania
66. Croatia
67. Greece
68. USA
69. Ireland
So, getting to 11 is really easy. Getting to 20 can probably be done without a lot of moving. After that, you’d better be ready to spend some currency moving around. If you’re in the army, it’s going to be hard to do, as you’ll be needed to fight in specific battles and will be unable to plot a route to travel to the countries you need to tick off your list.
A possibility would be to base yourself in an allied country for a while. One with more MPPs. Serbia has 22 MPPs and Macedonia has 21. You could still fight in the same battles as you can by being in UK (with the exception of RWs) but have many more nations you could fight for too without the need for moving.
Some people will go for this achievement straight away. For others, it will take a long time. If you were to fight 3 times a day and kill 25 enemies in each round of fighting it would take you 17 days to get the achievement. That’s without fighting for the same country twice. You could speed it up a bit by moving on as soon as you hit the 25 kills if you wanted to. For most people though, it will take over a month and potentially a great deal longer.
Well that was an hour of my time I’ll never get back. Hope it helps someone.

ps subs would also be cool

nice article. voted ; )
lol. it must be there are other changes later
If your in the army, it actually might be just as easy to do, as with subsidised movement, you could find yourself in a country you haven't yet got the 25 for 🙂
and Unity in etc, votato, sub'd (16 months ago) 😛
Nice article Dan.
Once some of the RWs are done with, it may be an idea to spend some time in Serbia or Macedonia to take advantage of their 22 / 21 MPPs. You can still fight in the same battles, tick a lot of countries off the list and avoid lots of moving costs.
Great Article! 😉
very good article!
Pretty useful. V+S

its for people who dont really have a flag to fight for. mainly people whos country been destroyed or never put in the game
it seems RW's fighting for the resistance counts as well for the count. So fighting in a RW which your country or ally intends to loose (like the canadian RW's against poland recently in order to create a route to grain for the UK) could grant you some country kills you otherwise can't get.
you'll need it, since with that current list, you won't be able to get it. Some countries are wiped and others have problems with fighting wars (for instance, the netherlands c
(the netherlands can only wage war with poland. Good luck having a TW with the poles)
I would never fight for FYROM
Notice how Macedonia (correct name) are right at the top of the list and Greece are right near the bottom HUEHUEHUEHUEHUE
I noticed that, Dan Moir. The great nation of Macedonia is indeed near the top of the list, and the pathetic and broken nation of Grease right down near the bottom. It is a glorious and fulfilling sight!
