Hello eJapan and the eWorld, it's Sotoba News and today i will be announcing the split of the Asia/Oceania battles section and the Anime/"Did you know" section, for the anime review section I would like for people to recommend animes for me to watch(Please be reasonable and keep it to short animes) so I can review them and for the "Did you know" section i will just be telling everyone random cool things about Japan in detail and these two will be done on different days as the Anime day is today, Tuesday will be the "Did you know" day and then Thursday will be the Anime day again, so every two days i will make one of these and everyday will be a Asia/Oceania battle article.

Shiki

Story(Some spoilers)
Shiki, it follows the story of a small village starting in the summer with the village starting to have a lot of unexplained deaths and the people that died were coming back and being seen at night and were attacking their relatives and friends in order to try to bring them back as okiagari(what the villagers call vampires) and later to be called shiki, the main two characters are Natsuno, a kid who moved to the village from a large city and quickly caught onto the shiki and was thought to have been eliminated early on in the series(Who has two last names because his parents never married each other) and Toshio Ozaki(Pictured below) who was a doctor at the villages local clinic and tried to cure the villagers before they died and eventually figured out that they were vampires.

Likes
Shiki is 22 episodes long which makes it short and sweet and i really liked the whole vampire thing as i haven't watched many animes with that being the main thing, and i also liked that it was in a small village.

Dislikes(Spoilers)
I really disliked the fact that it took so long for the anime to build up to almost episode 17 when the real action started happening, the villagers just kept saying people dying every single day was strange made me feel like i was dying on the inside, but when the action kicked up it made up for it a little bit on that dislike. Also, when the action does happen it is a small amount and its very one sided against the vampires, and the ending was kind of dull with them just riding away from the village as it burned.

Rating
I would give this anime i nice 7/10 just because it kept my interest and i watched it straight all the way till finish in one day, also i gave it a 7 because of how cruel the villagers were towards the end against their own family even though they were vampires they really showed no mercy.
