No, we want exports. Right now, our producers aren't selling. Selling products to foreigners gives us money, and reduces the amount of currency circulating in their nation, leading to less purchases by their own citizens, which due to the broken economy module, can actually harm their economy pretty well. Say yes to exports!

maybe the devs should add espionage to the military! be able to infiltrate and steal money from some of the enemies!
