Proclamation on Chinese Equality

Day 490, 13:57 Published in China China by Modelcon
My fellow Chinese,
Turbulent times require solid leadership. The strength, will and power to endure rests in the leadership of the Chinese Egalitarians. As leader of the Chinese Equality Party, I , Modelcon, would like all Chinese to know what we stand for.

First, I need to give an introduction to myself and this party. I was born in Beijing almost 5 months ago. After the takeover of China by Iran, I moved with a desperate number of refugees to Japan. My colleagues, Billy Fleming and Logomaster304 all split up to conduct diplomacy and to plan Liberation. Fleming moved to India, Logo stayed in Iran and I left for Japan. During my stay in Japan, I discovered fascinating people, and a fascinating culture. I served as its Vice President last month, and Japan and China are on excellent relations. In fact, if you did not know this, the Japanese Imperial Army sent a large force to liberate Beijing, and to them we should be thankful.

After Liberation, I moved back home, to find the party Logomaster started taken over and the country in sorry shambles. So I joined the opposition party ran by Logomaster, the CEP, and have conducted affairs in it from that point on. Since becoming President of the CEP, things have become much changed. We have gained 3 regions and 150 more people. I would now like to tell you where the CEP stands.

The CEP:
We are a Center-Left, Authoritarian party. This of course threatens many people, who value their liberty and their money. However, strong government is the only thing that can help the people today. Our BIGGEST goal is to seek the political empowerment of our members, our citizens and our population. During these strange and wild times, we need an able state and an able administration to maintain our stability and our peace. We can find this leadership in our President Logomaster. We want every member to be able to have an equal voice in China, to have equal footing with his citizens, and to have equal opportunity to the pursuit of happiness. Especially in these times, an skilled government is necessary for our unity and our stability.

Economy:
Surely this is the biggest thing on everyone’s mind. Just a week ago, we barely had food to buy, and little else. Now, we have over six food companies, two weapons companies, two gifts companies and two moving ticket companies. We owe a lot to my colleague Laffopuritain for these. As he stated in his plank here, http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/the-dpc-and-why-you-should-join--759617/1/20, many of these companies are owned by members of his party. The CEP plan for maturing our economy is to start public companies in order to provide jobs and goods to Chinese. If we make it through these few days, I shall propose to create: One Q1 Weapons company; One Q1 Gift Company; One Q1 Iron Company; One Q1 Grain Company; and One Q3 Food company. These will be not for profit companies designed to make our lives cheap. We’ll leave the profits to the capitalists.

Domestically:
As I stated before, the CEP seeks POLITICAL EMPOWERMENT of all Chinese. Whereas the DPC emphasizes wealth, we want you to be able to be a force in the community. I also seek to make taxes high, but not very high. Our Congressmen are constantly bombarded with messages saying that our treasury is low on money. We need a strong government before we can let anything happen now. Our government will make future bright, by sustaining opportunity and equality, and I hope that you can accept higher taxes as a consequence.

Defense:
Defense of the motherland is the most pressing issue as of this moment. We seek neutrality. We follow the words of President Jefferson: “Peace and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none.” The CEP proposes to sign Defense Pacts (or MPPs) with both PEACE and ATLANTIS nations. We cannot be humiliated and intimidated whenever a major power wants to have some fun with us. Getting at least one Q4 Hospital is the greatest priority. Without a hospital, we can do very little. Our entire nation will be a sad bunch of sick men. Defense of the motherland is of the greatest importance, and an army will be created. Logomaster has run the Chinese Militia before, and we seek to create a People’s Liberation Army in the coming days.

Well, the elections are going to be tomorrow. A vote for the CEP is a vote for President Logomaster and the country of China. If you disagree with us, then please cast a vote for the DPC. I remain suspicious of the Stars of Melijanna, and I am outright hostile towards the Freedome Party. Although Mimi denies it, I still harbor suspicions towards the intentions of a party who was created two days before the election and stuffs it full of Indonesians. The Freedome Party hasn’t even pretended that it’s trying to do good.

I hope we may get through tomorrow, to see an uncorrupted Congress and a brighter China. We can, shall and must make this happen.

May the glorious motherland triumph!
