Weapons

A weapon's quality level determines two characteristics,
Durability and Firepower -

Q1: 1 Durability, 20% Firepower
Q2: 2 Durability, 40% Firepower
Q3: 3 Durability, 60% Firepower
Q4: 4 Durability, 80% Firepower
Q5: 5 Durability, 100% Firepower
Q6: 6 Durability, 120% Firepower
Q7: 10 Durability, 200% Firepower*

Let's compare the cost of damage done with EBs, Q5s and Q7s.
(Not considering booster and such.)

> Ten 2x EBs are 39 gold (normally), simply 2,000 Energy.
> Q5s from Romania currently are 24 cc.
> Q7s from Romania currently are 108 cc.

Every time the fight button is clicked -

You will lose 10 points of energy for every hit to your opponent.
Your weapon's durability will decrease by 1 for every hit.**

NOTE - It may take several hits to make a kill.

A box of EBs equals 200 hits. So if you do 200 hits with available Energy, food, and then another 200 with EBs you've doubled the # of hits at a cost of 39g + food.

If you do 200 hits with Q5s total damage is the same as the boost in Firepower is 100%. Durability is 5 uses, so those 200 hits used 40 Q5s @ 24 cc each. Total cost is 960 cc + food. Much cheaper than a box of EBs.

If you do 100 hits with Q7s total damage is the same as the boost in Firepower is 200%. Durability is 10 uses, so those 100 hits used 10 Q7s @ 108 cc each. Total cost is 1080 cc + 1/2 food. Again, cheaper than EBs but about the same as Q5.

Food

The effectiveness of food depends on their quality.
The higher quality of food the more energy it will restore
and it will take less storage place -

Q1: 2/use
Q2: 4/use
Q3: 6/use
Q4: 8/use
Q5: 10/use
Q6: 12/use
Q7: 20/use*

No matter the weapons used, you need food.
Starting with the highest Q available, food is consumed first.

> Q2 from Romania currently is 1.09 cc.
> Q5 from Romania currently is 2.99 cc
> Q7 from Romania currently is 6.28 cc.

It takes 250 Q2 to make 1000 Energy at a cost of 272.50 cc.
It takes 100 Q5 to make 1000 Energy at a cost of 299 cc.
It takes 50 Q7 to make 1000 Energy at a cost of 314 cc.

If you're buying off market there's not much difference.

If you're contemplating building Food Factories Q2 is the best place to start. Most anyone can start WaMing for very little start up cost and a negligible operating cost to produce your own food. Add a Hunting Lodge and you're done. Be sure to locate your Holding Company to get best bonus for your country.

House & Air

Both industries do not allow WaM. This requires either hiring employees or buying the Tycoon pack to get work tickets. Those choices take expertise on a level beyond this primer.


Raw Materials

If you go to the bother of picking the best bonues, creating a Holding Company and building/upgrading your glorious Factory why not make your own RM? It creates greater profit if you sell. It makes production virtually free if you WaM for your own use.

I suggest buying only Q5 RMs. It's not cheaper to buy 57 Iron Mines to supply WRM for your Q7 Factory. Better to have 8 Rubber Plantations. Saves 490 Energy every time you WaM.

Training Grounds

While not actually Factories the TGs can produce gold.

> Always use the Weights Room, free TG.
> Upgrade the free TG first.
> After free TG is Q4 begin to upgrade Climbing Center, 0.19g TG.
DO NOT use Climbing Center until at Q4 or it will cost gold!

When you get Climbing Center to Q4 use it and continue using Weights Room every day. Together they produce gold by way of Super Soldier achievements.

Whether you upgrade the last 2 TGs depends on if you want strength or gold. You can continue upgrading while not using the Shooting Range and Special Forces in case you change your mind later.
