PLATO please save erep - some advices

Although i believe, many of us junkies would like just the opposite - that Plato turn off servers and help us get rid of this disease called erep where we are stuck for last 7-8-9 years...

Writing this article cause i see this is last chance to save erep and it s future (if saving is goal of owners). Most of people left already and I am afraid that the time of total collapse is not that far away (my prediction - next summer when people tend to play less and if nothing changes when they come back in autumn...)

Almost 2000 days ago i wrote an article Small changes that could improve erepublik . Article got over 750 votes without any advertise and was top article in world back then. 2000 days after, we can see huge decline in number of players of some of which left cause of some things i wrote there, and i am not sure if every player with their "bots" like this article i would collect 750 votes.


My main thesis in this article is : People left/are leaving cause of fact that at certain point they ve lost influence in game . Of course this is just simplified explanation cause people left of "tiredness" and looking for something new, economy model crushed after V1 so economy based players lost interest, social networks today offer many games and they are "closer" to users...


Second thesis is that game cannot exist without inflow of new players and/or massive staying of old ones. "Plato" decided to make this game interesting only to buyers while all others have not much influence, without wider community buyers are left alone and they stop buying as well cause of boredom (we are in this stage i suppose, Alexis Bronte could provide some numbers). Simply, we need more "producers" to keep our community healthy and sustainable


Third thesis is that eRepublik was team game before buyers got huge busters, and cause of all changes everyone just started to watch their own as*.

First I will try to give advice to Plato (cause you would lose interest if i put it at the end and would never read that far 😃 )

ADVICE (and it s free 😃 )
AIR mode is good implementation into game to give players that are weak (d4 old weak acc's, new players....) feeling of importance. Some old players that are not buying packs started to come back, tried to build Air rank and so on.
Owners of the game have huge weapon in their hands - thousands and thousands of emails of group of people that are interested in online gaming. Most of them left, but admins could easily send everyone email that there is new mode in game where they are starting from beginning and can have influence again. In order to stay like that my suggestion is : set Air Battles like it was "normal" fighting in V1 with limited amount of wellness to be used per day (or maybe campaign?). Of course, that amount would be same for all players, buyers and non buyers, but buyers would still have huge advantage in d1-d4 land battles. In this current mode, buyers have already advantage cause they are able to build Air rank 10x faster then non-buyers, now there is announcement that TC for AIR will be introduced so new players in few months will lose reason to even start playing (read my article 2000days old and what i predicted with growth of linear strength). This way buyers will have even more advantages and newcomers will quit again.

So, give AIR battles to everyone and land battles to buyers, leave Air rank, introduce q1-5 air wep, but do not introduce Air training centers . After 6 years of this game, promoting only buyers, it is time to give something to whole community.

I have more ideas and explanations/examples why would this good for long term planning of the game in my head but i just had level up and i have some job to do.
