Nothing New Under the eRepublik Sun

Day 1,161, 11:27 Published in Israel Israel by Jewyoyo
Yes, that's right, there's nothing new under the sun. Just war, war, and war. The only thing thats changed is whose fighting who, and where. As we see the eRepublik power structure crumble and reform itself, new nations are going to war and new borders are being drawn. In this issue, Israel, the Mid East, and the Indian subcontinent will be discussed. Vote and SUBSCRIBE for more quality world news! Now that you've subscribed 😉, we'll start with eIsrael.

Israel

Congress elections take place worldwide tomorrow, January 25th. In eIsrael as in many other places the top five political parties will compete for congressional seats. A relatively new party has joined the fray in our country, the Liberal Association. The Liberal Association's manifesto was published by Joe Franco, party president of the LA. Their plans include a tighter alliance with Greece, minimal import taxes, and greater government transparency. Shortly after the article was published, a heated debate broke out between LA party president Joe Franco and current Israeli president PerfectKnight. PK accused Joe of war profiteering while Joe accused PK of perpetuating backroom politics. Like the title of this article hints, ein chadash tachat b'shemesh! It will be interesting to see how this rift will effect the Presidential elections, which take place in a mere 11 days.

In other eIsrael news, an impeachment of president PerfectKnight has been proposed but is currently being voted down 21-4. Also, Jewyoyo (that's me) is running for congress in Jerusalem district!

Middle East

The eMiddle East. Dark Blue and Purple are USA and Bulgaria respectfully, who have colonial holdings in the Mid East.

Two wars are currently raging in the Middle East region. One of them, between Greece & Turkey, is an ancient eRepublik war that has been fought as long as this game has been played. The other, between USA & Iran, is a more recent one that seems to be the indicative of America's more aggressive foreign policy under new president Haliman. First, let's take a look at the Greece-Turkey conflict.

Brown: Greece, Salmon: Turkey, Green: Macedonia (FYROM), and Purple: Bulgaria.

The Bulgarians are currently occupying the attention (and land) of Turkey's powerful ally Macedonia, allowing the Greeks to be unfettered on their western borders and turn their attention toward the Turkish front. The Greeks have had great success here and are plowing through Anatolia.* Turkey has only 3 of her original 7 regions. The remaining four are in Greek hands, propelling them to a population over 20,000 and making them the eWorlds most populated country. The Greeks are currently attacking South-Eastern Anatolia. They have also bought a hospital in Northern Cyprus, showing their intentions to hold this Cypriot region which borders Turkey. Now, let's take a look at the conflict in Iran.

*Greek success here can partially be attributed to a widespread Turkish boycott of the games military module in protest against unfair Admin practices.

Light Blue: Iran, Blue: USA, Purple: Bulgaria

Three days ago the United States of America declared Iran their natural enemy, giving them a 'free' war with Iran. The Americans, with plenty of holdings in the Indian sub-continent and Asia, quickly found a land border with the Iranians and since then have been moving through their country. The Iranians were thrown out of Pakistan's Balochistan region, and then their own regions Sistan & Baluchistan and Harmozgan, which (as you can see from the map) both remain under American control. The Bulgarian owned region in the center of Iran is a Bulgarian resource colony for which the Bulgarians pay rent, and does not figure into this latest conflict between Iran and the US (so far). Following their success in Harmozgan, the US has not yet attacked another region. But with Iran declaring the USA their natural enemy as well, this war is ripe for another battle.

Indian Subcontinent: Indonesia vs. China

Pink: India, Purple: USA, Blue: Indonesia, Light Yellow: Pakistan, Dark Yellow: China

The eIndian Subcontinent, comprised of eIndia and ePakistan, is a complete wreck right now. The multi-colored mess that is the map of India has its roots in past conflicts. A few months ago, following a large religious pilgrimage of Dioists to Pakistan, India was nearly completely conquered by Pakistan. As world powers such as the United States and China stepped in, the new Pakistani empire that had been created quickly crumbled. The remnants of this empire still remain, with ePakistan in control of one Indian region and two Thai regions. Yet the Pakistanis control less than half of their homeland, the rest of Pakistan is ruled by China and the USA.

The power vacuum left by the disintegrated Pakistani empire gave a major power in the region the opportunity to reassert its former glory: this power is Indonesia. Once the ruler of a multi continental empire, Indonesia is still a force to be reckoned with. China, threatened by this Indonesian re-entrance into mainland Asia, has declared Indo as natural enemy. Indonesia is currently fighting two battles, one against India and one against China, but it's all going down in India. The real losers here are India and Pakistan. As a result of their war a few weeks ago, global powers such as USA, China, and Indonesia are entrenching themselves in the Indian subcontinent.

Well...

Well, that's not all that's going on, but the rest is going to have to go in the next issue. Currently there are other wars raging, such as France invading Spain and mutual war declarations between Germany and Switzerland. Please SUBSCRIBE to stay up to date on the latest eWorld news!

DON'T FORGET TO VOTE JEWYOYO FOR JERUSALEM!

My main political goals, if elected, are greater organization of eIsraelis in terms of which regions we choose to live in, and the purchasing and soliciting of Defense Systems and Hospitals for our key regions. You might call me a 'war congressman', indeed war-readiness is my focus.

Thank you for reading!
