New Player Guide [Your First Week]

Day 930, 21:13 Published in USA Canada by Haliman

Welcome to the eUS! Welcome to Erepublik! The focus of these articles is to give you access to both information and resources that can help make your first few weeks in the game easier and more enjoyable.

The eUS uses something called a forum. We use this to keep in contact with each other, and to organize events, attacks, congress, and even the Whitehouse. The official United States Forum for eRepublik.

Important Notes

Erepublik offers a multitude of paths for a young player like yourself to take.

Companies - The first thing you may want to do is to find a job. Jobs are how players earn money, which can be used to buy luxuries and necessities.

Military - The eUS military is one of the strongest in the world. It has dedicated players who fight their hardest to keep this country safe. Visit this link to join the military!

Politics - Erepublik politics are dominated by political parties. Currently, you are unable to run as an independent. If you wish to hold public office, you must join a political party. Politics offer you the chance to change the direction your country is going in! Visit this link to join a political party!

Sub-Paths - Each of the above has multiple sub-paths you may follow, such as General Manager for Companies, Strategic Commander for Military, and even Country President for Politics. IF you set your mind to it, you are able to achieve anything in this game.

Quick Links

The eRepublik Wiki is a database of knowledge used by all players of the game. On that site, you will find a large part of the information you will need to learn how to play the game. A few key articles from the Wikipedia are:
Experience and Features
Work
Food
Train
Fight

These will teach you the basics of the game and help you to get off on the right foot.

You should also know that the eUS government has programs that can help you should you need it.

If you're looking for a hand while on the eRepublik website, check out the In game chat. While in there, look for the Flying Unicorn Squadron, they can help if you need it. If they are unavailable, ask if there is a congressman in the chat. If there is, they would love to help you out.

This edition's educational focus is on "Your First 6 days". Follow this basic "calendar," and you will be on the right track.

The Basics.
Erepublik is an online game where you can follow your political, economic or military aspirations and change the course of history. In order to unlock features in eRepublik, you will need a certain number of experience points. That’s to say, in order to fight, vote, or join a party, you will need to gain experience points. Every day you work, train, and/or fight, you will gain experience points. An easy way to gain some experience points is to upload an avatar. Additionally, once you get your first job, you will gain experience points.

The First Week

Day 1

Upload An Avatar
Find any .jpg picture and upload it on your profile.

If you have no pictures available, save the current avatar picture and upload that. It may be cheap but it works. This is really the only way to personalize your citizen.

You Are Now: Level 1; 2 XP; 100 Wellness Points

Get A Job
Get your first job. Under the Market Tab, select the Job Market link and search for a company that hires skill levels 0-0.99 or click here.

Make sure to choose a job at a Q1 company, which is one with only 1 star, or your wellness will drain quickly. Additionally, when you join a job, you have to stay there for at least 72 hours before you can resign. With each day of work, you will earn money and increase your skill. Often higher skill is paid more. Every once in a while, you should check back on the Job Market to see what people with your skill level are earning. Also, it is recommended that you take a job in either the manufacturing field (Hammer and Anvil picture) or the land field (Oil Rig picture) as those are the two most important skill fields to our country’s expansion. The construction is a very limited field and has more than enough workers already than it needs.

You Are Now: Level 1; 7 XP; 100 Wellness Points

For example, if you work at a one star company, you will lose one wellness point; if you work at a three star company, you will lose three wellness points, etc

Train
Under the My Places Tab, select the Army link or click here. On that screen, click on the standard training button, which is the 1st of the 4 blue buttons.

You gain 2 XP from training daily, while only losing 1 wellness point. For every level of 5 strength you will earn the Super Soldier achievement and a treasure map. You will be able to fight once you earn 25 experience points.

So it is important to make sure that you have at least one piece of food in your inventory at the end of every day. You will eat automatically when the next day starts. The United States offers a program called Meals on Wheels that provides free food and tickets to players: http://www.tinyurl.com/moweus

Government

The list of Citizens in charge of this nation is large enough to have their own article, but there are two men you need to know about.

Chocolate McSkittles - Current President of the eUnited States. He's easy to remember because of his distinct name.

Ligtreb - Current Vice-President. He's easy to remember because of his distinct nickname, Mr. Monopoly Man.
