Make sure you join a military unit and follow your daily orders everyweek day. It’s not complicated.
You should also go to the marketplace and buy a load of weapons. Once they’re in your inventory, you’ll use them automatically. No need to use your hands.

This is a very important decision. You don’t want to end up in a unit with a boring or embarrassing name. Animals are cool, don't you think? Bad ass animals always make the best names. Something scary like wasps or spiders or something…
Another thing to consider is what supplies your unit will give you (and how to get them). Ask your commander and they'll tell you how to get weapons for free!

So many new players, all clamoring for advice...
I'd advise against buying a load of weapons right now as the prices have sky rocketed since the announcement of the upcoming event

Contact the MoD (minister of defence) or deputy and ask, or fill the form once more, maybe the other got lost. 😉
That'll be me. As has been stated in every message and the national feed I've been a little afk for both RL reason and ambiguous agreements in game reasons. (rea😛 cba with the meta bollocks)
Also we have a comp coming up with weapon and food prices sky rocketing. Y'all might think I'm an ass but when you get 4 weeks supplies in one hit when prices have gone up more than 50% you might forgive me.

Fight in the air as preferable. No weapons needed so money for other things.
And they need to apply to NHS for their injection of food up to Lvl 32.
how did i learn - the erepublik wiki and asked the guys from my military unit (they also gave me gold to upgrade my training grounds (neil lewis and pannonian nomad)). signed up for free food from the nhs. and of course now new players have the opportunity to do air battles.
Yeah, errr, when will you give me back all that gold?
