Netherlands must join an alliance or die of apathy

Greetings.
In my last article about two weeks ago, I talked about our country and what direction it might go in. Since then, the MoFA and his assistants have been working on talking to various alliances to see what options were available to us.
I took on the option of opening a channel with CUA. I know the Irish CP MUFC quite well and he was his usual helpful self. Unfortunately, the contact supplied for discussions in CUA was not. After two relatively simple questions, I never got an answer to my more complicated third.
This is a pity. But there may be good reasons for this. Language, RL issues and the fact that I'm hardly an official representative for the government, all adds up to an explanation for poor communication. Of course there is potentially another reason, and that is the CUA have no real interest in adding eNetherlands to their brotherhood.
In this they are absolutely right. There is no benefit to either side. So if we can rule CUA out, and with no sign of an EDEN rebirth, can we finally look at the two options left for us?
In my opinion, the options come to joining CoT or Asgard. In the forthcoming World War between TWO and CoT, we can't afford to be non-aligned. The question is whether we participate directly as part of CoT, or as an ally of CoT in being part of Asgard.
Which side we potentially choose should also take into account what happens if CoT wins (= to the victor the spoils) or if CoT loses (back to being wiped). It might be said that siding with Asgard allows us to hedge or bets somewhat.
But ultimately, we need to start making a referendum on this decision fast before we all die of boredom/

eCanada went through a similar dilemma as we were looking for a new alliance. There was lots of pushback against going with CoT and people didn't want to go back to being an unimportant member in EDEN. We settled on Asgard because it had potential to grow and seemed free of old rivalries/bad blood. Can't say that it was the safest routed (CoT would have been a better choice if we wanted more leverage against Spain and TWO). Yet, the leadership still does appear optimistic that Asgard can grow and we'll get our break eventually.
Anyway, now that EDEN is on the wane, Asgard needs to place its support behind either TWO or CoT in the forthcoming World War (as you called it). I'm pretty sure we won't be backing TWO and chances are CoT would become a closer buddy to Asgard in the future.
I support membership on ASGARD. We have friends on those countries, and it is an alliance that doens't have big countries with their own agendas and no time to help minor countries get even one region.
In the context of ASGARDS, e-Netherlands can engage in some more meagningful participation, and provide entertaining things or eDutch, now that the economy doesn't provide any fun,.
