Myth Busting: AdminBot using the Suggested Price

So there's a couple theories out there about the AdminBot.


One of the ones I find more concerning is that it buys based on the suggested price you see when placing offers on the market.

This line:

0,"576.71","970.59","2941.18",0,"3960.40"

is historical data for hospitals, we can verify this by checking the market listings.

now we can see that the suggested price simply comes from old data from the Marketplace.

Meaning this Myth is fairly:




The likely reason that GM's report being able to sell at higher prices is probably because of the buyer/seller mismatch that can occur with a 24 hour market.

You are asleep but the market action continues. Typically you see prices dip during the wee hours then rise as it gets closer to our country's prime time.

Playing this difference can be modestly profitable. The suggested price can be helpful here as it shows you what prices once were. They may or may not reach that level again, but it's a starting point at least for your own instincts.



AdminBot, are you there?


Now the bot probably did exist at one point.

Before Admin vanished the evidence there were sale histories that showed purchases by Erepublik itself. We saw total cost for RM's exceed Product cost by a large margin. Then we saw purchases in amounts of exactly 20, even for RM's.

There were a few other possibilities(player bots, market effects) but none of them could account for everything that was occurring at the time.

Now as to whether it is still running... I doubt it personally, but who knows for sure. If you're able to find a sweet spot consider yourself blessed and call it a day.
