My beautiful Bulgaria!(Part 1)

Bulgaria is one of the oldest countries in Europe created in year 681 AD.Population is from 7.3 and teritory of 110 510 km2.The capital of Bulgaria is Sofia.















I have decided to start with my city Ruse(Rousse)




Ruse is the fifth biggest city of Bulgaria with population of 165 208 people.It is situated in north Bulgaria on river Danube.Ruse nickname is the small Vienna becouse of it architecture.Ruse is very old city it is build by the Romans with name Sexaginta Prista(The port of the sixty ships).There is a medieval Bulgarian castle near to the city.More than 2000 years history.After the liberation Ruse was the bigest city in Bulgaria.The first cinema, railway in Bulgaria started from Ruse.

Turnovo
Turnovo is the capital of the Second Bulgarian empire from 1186-1396.It was the second biggest city in Europe after Constantinople.

The Baldwin`s Tower.There is a story about it.When the crusaders from the fourth crusade conquered Constantinople they attacked Bulgaria.In 1205 the Bulgarian Tsar Kaloian I beat them at Battle of Adrianople and capture the leader of crusaders Baldwin I and he was imprisoned in Baldwin Tower.And he dies in it.



Tsar Simeon I the Great


In his reign Bulgaria became the most powerful nation at Europe.

Rakia

Rakia is traditional Bulgarian alcohol drink.Many nations are trying to steal it from us but there is a letter from 14the century in the old Bulgarian capital written by Bolyar(member of aristocracy) the letter is:Yesterday i drunk RAKIA!So it is Bulgarian 😃.
