MPP Procedure Act

Aim: This bill aims to clarify and streamline the process for signing Mutual Protection Pacts (MPPs).


Part 1 - MPP Procedure (Dictatorship)

a. The Country President will be responsible for deciding which countries to sign an MPP with, with no routine Congress votes.

b. The CP must notify Congress of his intention to sign a particular MPP no less than 48hrs before the ingame proposal is put up.
i. This is not required in the case of existing MPPs which are being renewed

c. Any member of congress may submit a motion to block any MPP (New or renewal) being signed with a country, if passed this nation will be disallowed from signing an MPP with the eUK for a period of 30 days.
i. Any member of congress may move to end the period of disallowal early.
ii. The CP will only be able to sign an MPP if there is sufficient funding in the MPP Budget approved by congress.
iii. Adding additional funds to the MPP budget is laid out in Part 2f of the Finance Act.

d. This part of the bill will only apply when the eUK is under a constitutional dictatorship


Part 2 - MPP Procedure (Democracy)

a. The CP should notify congress 48 hours before an ingame MPP proposal is put up.
i. This is not required in the case of existing MPPs which are being renewed

b. This part of the bill will only apply when the eUK is under a democracy.
