Mantra?

Day 2,625, 06:04 Published in USA Republic of Moldova by Luceafar Voievod

I'm just a soul whose intentions are good,but you don't understand me so let me explain. What's understood ain't gotta be explained, so for those who understand meet Didei. I wear my heart on my sleeve like it's the new fashion, what are you asking, if I don't have the answer but I know you don't understand …

Some long time ago I wrote an article about the human part and interaction of this game, who in my opinion is the only thing that keeps users in this “game”.

Back then I said that in my opinion for the most of us, this game kinda becomes a somewhat of a second life, a place to maybe shelter yourself from the somewhat harsh realities of life, or maybe you just are feeling like a diva and want to share your happiness with the others, or maybe u have too much free time at work and want to fill it up to make the clock run faster.

The real fun fact is that this game is so unfair to the “regular/normal” users making the emersion into this browser game so much closer to real life, thus making (e)people try to cheat and fool the other users. Just like they would do in real life - especially if they live in a country that does not offer its populations many opportunities to grow and develop in a normal and legiti way. So the guardian.co.uk had the most accurate description of the game: ”eRepublik offers a real seccond life”.

Last days I saw a “mantra” of Keanu Reeves, who said some things that resonate with me both in real life and also in game. He said something like this:

“I can not be part of a world where husbands dress their wives as some frivolous women, just to show . A world where there is no concept of honor and dignity and you can trust only when people just say "I promise." A world where women do not want children, and men do not want a family. A world where are considered "successful", losers sitting at the wheel of a car belonging to their father and anyone that has a little influence and it’s trying to prove you're a nobody. Humans who hypocritically profess faith in God, sitting with a glass of alcohol in hand, without being devoted to their religion at all. In a world where the jealousy concept is shameful, and modesty is the biggest drawback.A world that people forgot about love, seeking only the best option. A world where people throw all the money to fix car scratch at first glance, without saving any money or time. In which women and men no longer distinguish long and all this together is called "freedom of choice", but those who choose a different path automatically and despots are some return. I chose my path and I am ashamed that I did not find the same understanding that most people hope for”.
*or something like that, I did not bothered that much with the translation. Sorry 🙂[/u}

I can add that here, you can’t even trust people that say “I promise” - cause if they have to say “I promise” means they already broken a promise or didn’t kept their word once, so nothing will keep them from lying the 2nd time over.

“Are considered "successful", losers sitting at the wheel of a car belonging to their father” - do you remember The DarkNight? Ofc people in eRep have found new ways on bragging and get people to like them because of some real life issues - like let’s say being legally blind - who means you have to wear glasses.

“A world where people throw all the money to fix car scratch at first glance” - something like “I’m gonna steal that guys BH cause I feel like it”

But the line I found the most “touching” and really connecting with it, especially in this game, is this: “I chose my path and I am ashamed that I did not find the same understanding that most people hope for” - I was and constantly and still am mocked and attacked cause I choose to defend the country I love the most in this game (and for this I do blame Atracurium - he made me fall in love with eCN so hard). It is somewhat sad to see how badly people react when you do not switch sides with them, or don’t agree with their point of view or just wanna stay fair.

Yes, I have been lied to by some of my closes friends, abandoned by some of the people I considered my best friends, but after all their personal interests came before a random guy who they met over the internet. It’s just human nature, and this game encourages all this type of actions.

Maybe this article was my mantra. Dunno, still haven't figured it out ...

PS: In my opinion this is more than a game, it’s more than just some clicks, this game brought me persons that I proudly call friends from all over the world. Offered me feelings so intense I didn't thought to find in RL, not in a game. I feel like I did all loved, fighted, hated, ignored, was the bad guy, was the good guy. I was a crook, I was a friend, I was there, I was the good guy.

Thank you all for being my friends, my “enemies” and my loved ones.
