Make War, Not Love?

A hearty greeting once again to everyone out there whether you are a proletarian comrade or a capitalist swine. We all have one thing in common, we are fast becoming old in this desert of time wasting suckage. We squabble over pretend pixels like junkies fighting over the last clean spoon. Well, at least if things go bad, we don’t really lose anything right?

I ran for president a little while back on a non-war platform and subsequently got my butt handed to me by the bot army. Fancy the irony. I was rational and non controversial on purpose because I figured no one really wanted to suffer through an extended wipe yet again. Was I wrong? At the same time, I am constantly hearing rumblings that this place is way too boring to stick around for. I get that. This is essentially a war game at its core. Sure, you can adjust taxes, not write articles and one click some bread into your character, but the real meat and potatoes in here is clicking the big red fight button. Everything else is just window dressing. I’m not even sure that special events do much to enhance the user experience, like whatever silliness we have going on here on this, the fakest and most artificially commercial of all corporate contrived holidaze.

I probably shouldn’t make any presumptions either way, but I suspect that some people are happy just to remain undisturbed and farm in their training wars while others are firmly in the real war camp. What I do want to do is discover whether one attitude solidly prevails over the other, and which, or if there is an even split between the two. If you can leave your comments below indicating which war philosophy you would rather participate in, I would greatly appreciate that.

One of the miscalculations that previous CPs and CP candidates have made was to attack nations that are a lot stronger than we are. While this might be temporary fun, we could not possibly sustain that. It did, or certainly would lead to a retribution we could not work our way out of for a long time, possibly leading to more people leaving the game. Another mistake would be attacking a smaller nation that is aligned with strong allies or is otherwise in an alliance of sorts.

One possibility we can look for is to attack a similar or lower strength country that isn’t officially aligned with anyone. While it isn’t the most ethical thing to do, it will give us a more engaging change of pace than the usual wash, rinse, repeat of our current situation.

Or we could become more involved with our alliance and become a more active partner. Again, this could lead to more dicey situations for us, but the alternative is going back down the road to isolationism again. We’ve been there before and it’s not a good look. I suppose you can say that fake money is meant to be spent.

At any rate, this game has withered to the point of being an apotheosis of mindless mouse clicking repetitiveness. taking a wider view, there might not be much that we can do as the exodus is related to the state of the game and not specifically what we are or are not doing. But, we may be trapped in a cycle of sorts. Do bad decisions drive people away? Or are people leaving because of a lack of options?

So to summarize, I’d like your feedback on the following. If you could choose one of the four options:

A]
Given the possibility of an extended wipe, would you still prefer to see a real war campaign against a major enemy?

B]
Should we focus on staying in our lane alliance wise? For instance, being a support country and helping out where we can, although we can’t do much, damage wise.

C]
Stay the course and just use our regions to host other nations for TWs?

D]
Or venture out and try for a small war campaign of our own against a minor country to inject a bit more fun into an otherwise dead game?

As always, thanks for reading. Catch you next time.
