Little Known Facts About India
Ashwamaedh
Rather than write some single line pointless articles just to make some money, I would make people aware of some curious, lesser known facts about India that might be of interest. So here goes!
1. A floating post office
India has the largest postal network in the world with over 1, 55,015 post offices. A single post office on an average serves a population of 7,175 people. The floating post office in Dal Lake, Srinagar, was inaugurated in August 2011.

6. India is the world's second-largest English speaking country
India is second only to the USA when it comes to speaking English with around 125 million people speaking the language, which is only 10% of our population. This is expected to grow by quite a margin in the coming years.
7. Lonar Sarovar, Maharashtra
The Lonar Lake is a saline soda lake located at Lonar in Buldana district, Maharashtra, India which was created by a meteor impact. Amazingly, magnets go haywire around it and no one knows as yet what is in the murky deep bottom.

Really nice things are settled in India. Btw half of india and bangladesh have relatives in UK its not strange that they are the 2nd nation who has most English speaker
Half of India would be 600 million...that is not the reason for English. India has more than 40 main languages and thousands of dialect. When the Britishers ruled India,English naturally become the language of communication between all parts of the country, it still continues to be so.
Thats the word half of india. I know that the english ruling the dividing part of hindustan creating: pakistan india bangladesh and other stuff. My point was that many indians spoke english many many years so its kinda part of their culture now.
True... indians are settled probably in every country of the world 🙂 We are also fairly adept in languages and can pick them up fairly quick, which helps naturalise better! thanks for commenting mate!
