No zidovima nije zaštićena samo solana.
Zato jedva čekamo pogledati cijelu epizodu i dobiti inspiraciju o tome gdje bismo mogli otputovati. Inače uz spomenute destinacije, epizoda o Hrvatskoj će gledatelje diljem svijeta upoznat i s osječkom obalom Drave, Lonjskim poljem, dolinom Neretve, a snimljene su i impresivne snimke spajanja Pelješkog mosta, rušenja tornja zagrebačke katedrale i popravaka penjačke stijene u NP Paklenica.

THE WHOLE CROATIA IS WAITING FOR SEPTEMBER 19
After what is being prepared, the whole globe will be buzzing about us
Croatia is often said to be a land of undiscovered beauties, but thanks to National Geographic, the whole world will soon be able to discover them in a format never seen before. Namely, one episode of the third season of the series Europa from the Air will completely deal with Croatia, and it is especially interesting to see which places the production team has chosen to shoot. Did you even know that Croatia has the second largest walls in the world, after the world-famous Great Wall of China? Or that the largest white truffle in the world was found in the Motovun forest, which with its 1300 grams is included in the Guinness Book of Records?
These are just some of the places and stories we will be able to watch through impressive aerial shots. The episode was filmed throughout last year and covers all seasons, thus fully evoking the beauty of individual places. The trailer for the new season delighted us, and you will be able to watch the episode about Croatia on September 19 on National Geographic.

CROATIAN CHINESE WALL
Anyone who was born and lives in Croatia can forget how important and rich our history and culture is. What is everyday for us, is a privilege for foreigners to get to know. The National Geographic team was so fascinated by the unusual 5.5-kilometer-long zigzag walls, which extend beyond the town of Ston all the way to the nearby hills. The walls are believed to have been built to prevent the theft of salt from the saltworks there, as in the Middle Ages salt was an extremely valuable commodity.
But the walls are not only protected by the saltworks. Aerial footage reveals that the wall stretches across the entire peninsula and has 41 defensive towers and six fortresses. The rulers of Ston did not build a wall just to protect the salt pans, their intention was to protect the entire peninsula from its disobedient neighbors. The saltworks is still in operation today, after 4,000 years, and the locals pick hundreds of tons of salt every year. All this makes it the oldest active saltworks in Europe, and after the Great Wall of China, it is the second largest wall in the world.

It is always interesting to see what our country looks like through the eyes of foreigners, and we must admit that they have managed to teach us some news. So we can’t wait to watch the whole episode and get inspiration on where we could travel. In addition to the mentioned destinations, the episode about Croatia will introduce viewers around the world to Osijek's Drava bank, Lonjsko polje, Neretva valley, and impressive footage of the connection of the Pelješac bridge, the demolition of the Zagreb Cathedral tower and repairs to the climbing rock in Paklenica National Park.
It is also interesting that the evening of September 19 on the National Geographic program will be completely dedicated to Croatia. Namely, as many as three shows in a row will be broadcast, the topic of which deals with Croatia. At 9 pm we will have an episode of Gordon Ramsey: Unexplored Kitchens filmed in Croatia, at 10 pm an episode about Croatia from the series Europe from the Air will start, and then, at 11 pm, an episode of the show Dream Cars - Inside the Factory, which will talk o Rimac cars.

Otherwise the new season shows some of the best cultural and geographical sights in Europe through stunning hyperlapse aerial photography. Impressive aerial shots offer a unique insight into how tradition, engineering and natural landmarks have helped shape the continent, helping to paint a dynamic portrait of the regions and the people who have preserved them. Six episodes await us this season, and they are dedicated to Croatia, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland, Ireland and Iceland. This kind of promotion is a big thing for Croatia if we take into account that National Geographic reaches about 433 million households in 171 countries through all its platforms
