Setting the record straight...

Firstly apart from the header and reader count their will be no graphics or logo's in this edition. The reader counter speaks for itself.

I think it is time for the record to be set straight. Today I received a threat from Don Dapper of New Era that the party i am in would be PTO’d by himself and his friends within the Independent Alliance. Don Dapper incase you didn’t know is founder and prominent member within New Era, a party currently third in the eUK party rankings and the second largest party in the eUK Congress.

The reason for this hostile take over was because the party I am current party president of – The Independent Alliance, chose to accept an offer by TUP in this months congress elections. New Era and TUP have a history of hostility so some can understand why some would raise their eyebrow at my shouts for backing TUP considering I have been more than critical of TUP in the past. Now popular belief is that the decision is down to the party president. Not at the Independent Alliance. At our party the membership decide at the party’s conference. The choice was go with TUP and accept their offer or decline and do nothing for this month. The majority chose to accept TUP’s offer. Now my PM exchange with Talon will show I was in favour of the congress elections being too soon and we should just concentrate on our foundations...baring in mind we were only a week old.

Now my position was not down to hostility but wanting the party to have everything in place for next month. If TUP approached me in the future i would be more than happy to put it forward to the membership again. Anyway...and this is the bit New Era do not understand so i shall type it in capitals and not because I am being sarcastic – THE MEMBERS CHOSE...CHOSE...VOICED THEIR OPINION...THEY DECIDED to accept the offer from TUP to run a candidate under the TUP banner. This was not my sole decision...in capitals for New Era i repeat – THIS WAS NOT MY SOLE DECISION. Even if I said no then my voice would not have swung the majority’s decision. FACT. The key to democracy is the MAJORITY decides. The majority spoke. I listened because it is THEIR PARTY.

Since this decision i have been personally attacked, flamed and bawwed by New Era. I am big enough to take it to be honest. Klurr has been reported for being a multi, attacked and accused of not writing her own articles by New Era. Today New Era has finally threatened to PTO us because I helped cement a constitution for a party when all...ALL decisions were made by the members. That includes all officers being elected for example THE IRC CHANNEL IS ALWAYS OPEN and we do not kick or ban people for being in another party OUR CONFERENCE IS OPEN AND WAS ATTENDED BY A NEW ERA OFFICER! If we get one more sign up our forum section will be OPEN TO ALL. We are a complete democracy with complete openness. ...

And for this we are attacked, reported and threatened with a hostile take over by New Era...the same New Era I defended when there were talks of a possible PTO many months back.

What right does New Era to decide the policy of a separate party where the decisions are made by their members??? Is this what they mean by ‘’Your party, your game...’’ that if they don’t like your party then they plan a PTO? Is this something New Era feel for all small parties if ever they disagree with them? Can the WRP look forward to this same threat if ever their members decide to run with TUP next month?

Is this the New Era form of democracy? Don and new Era forget that until I planted the seed with regards to PM’ing the membership with a ballot their member NEVER had a say on the party’s direction. That is fact. I hope the New Era membership look at what say they have been allowed up to a few weeks ago then remember this contribution before they flame me for leaving to (and I shall use caps again) HELP CREATE A PARTY WHERE EVERY DECISION IS PUT TO A VOTE. New Era have accused me of setting up the Independent Alliance as a power trip. A power trip where the conference logs will show i never voice my opinion on any topic until the end of the subject so it didn’t seem i was influencing people. A power trip where i helped create the first party where the parties officers were elected. A power trip where I suggested the members decide the rankings of our congress candidates which is the first time a party will have done this. A power trip where I helped create a party where i wanted everything open and accessible to all, even those from other parties.

That to Don dapper and new Era is a power trip.

New Era does have some great people within its walls, I apologise if you think this is directed at you and i hope you get the hell out before it is too late and you yourselves suffer the same treatment in the future...It won’t happen to you? Ask Klurr....ask James Scarlet who was flamed as a spy...ask Ironfists who was also branded a spy by Don and company as well once he decided to leave. That's just happened in the last five weeks to four former members who decided to try other things.
