As you may or may not know, I, Bean&teddy am running for the position of party president of the Independent Labour Party. I've recently enough returned to this game and was delighted to find that our party was still going strong. To last at the highest level over such a sustained period is a real credit to our party and our members. Yet as with everything there is always more to be improved on. That is why I would like to represent our party as PP for the coming month. To improve on everything that has been achieved so far and achieve our full potential as a party.




Before I go into what I plan to do let me give those of you who don't know me a bit of background to my time playing this game. Considering I was inactive for over a year I suspect I may not be the familiar face I once was.
before I went inactive I had a long history with ILP. It is the only party I have ever been in and I have had the honour of representing it as PP on 4 occasions. In my eyes I would deem them all as successful. In the space of two months I oversaw our party grow from little over 30 players to over 120 players. We increased activeness substantially and really became a driving force in eIrish politics. I think my best quality is not being some guru who can transform a party but a person who can get everybody in that party to work towards a common goal. We did this in the past and that is what I aim to do again (if elected) this.

Now more importantly what I plan to do if elected this month. Well my main plan is that everybody has something to do. This month will be all about activeness and encouraging activeness, making ILP not just a party but a community.There are a few ways I plan on doing this:

* Hold weekly open party meetings: Communication is essential and the basis of any active party. A party where everybody is welcome and has a say in things will progress far quicker. If elected I will host at least one party meeting a week.
* Encourage regular updates from congress members I must admit I am guilty of sometimes taking my congress seat for granted and while sometimes congress is not the most exciting place in the world it is our duty as congress members to inform the people who voted for us as to what is happening. If elected I will ensure that all congress members have updates as frequently as possible.
* ILP ambassadors: If elected I plan to establish a new ILP ambassador programmer. The aim of this will be to encourage relations with similar thinking parties in other eNations. It gives players experiences of other eCultures while also provides opportunities to make new friends.
* ILP Lounge: I plan to create some sort of chat room for all ILP members and friends to just hang out and enjoy the game whenever we're online.This really adds to the sense of community in the party. The old IRCS were good for this so that is always a possibility however I will look into alternatives too.
*ILP private events: One thing I always persisted on having in my previous terms was ILP private events. The likes of raffles, awards and what not for the party are a great boost for the ILP community and something I believe should be reinstated.
