Just before I start, I will tell you, if you are happy that I am leaving this game keep not reading this article.
For everybody who is interested in my reasons, you are more then welcome to read, ask questions or whatever you want to do.
I decided today, after the NL congress cote to quite this game. This is easily, because I am just sad about the possibilty of this game. I've startet this game at the beginning of the year and startet to get more and more active 4 month ago. I tried to get involved into serious eRep business, by running for congress in eGermany, starting a company, being active in the eGermany forum and IRC and getting to know some guys. Anyway I lost my first congress vote, but I am on the opinion, that I had one of the better presentations - a political and active one! Anyway I lost and thought, that it might be to early and keep getting involved.
A month later I thought it is time to run again. With an improved and still active programm and I lost again. I also had no posibilty to get involved into the german army more then being a soldier or german politics. So I decided on my 3rd run for eGerman congress to coordinate votes and came into it. It wasn't that what I expected. The congress is not doing a lot and the whole game is controlled by old and experienced players.
After spotting NL a while and having good chats with Konrad Neumann, I decided to move over to NL. On the first look, it was really good. It was a better political system, where everybody can take part in. But after the congress vote again, my mood is on a complete down level. I lost again by playing fair on a congress vote. I started again with a good presentation and an active eRep sytel in the forum and IRC! But there is no way, to get into congress on a fair way. Who ever thinks you can, I am sorry but you can't, if you are not an old and famous player.
I am also sorry for all the new players, who wants to get more active and involved into this game: There is no way! This game is controlled and played by some guys, which are registred early then you and you will not find a way into it the next couple of month / years.
But have fun with this game.

PS.: I will keep playing as a two clicker, just to fight against Eden! I might can motivate myself to play active again, after coming done a bit. Thanks to GeBe, Konrad and Moritz!

Ich hatte mich eigentlich drauf gefreut, weiterhin bzw. noch aktiver was politisch und gesellschaftlich zu bewegen in eRepublik.
Die alten Spieler brauchen auch frisches Blut und neue Ideen, aber wenn die aktiven jüngeren Spieler so schnell das Feld räumen, dann wird da wohl leider nicht viel draus...

abes182: To get elected into congress, doesn't have anything to do with being "experienced and old" in erepublik. At least here in eNetherlands. For a cancidate to have a change to get elected into congress, he has te be supported by his party as an official candidate. I am sorry to hear that you weren't much supported by the party you ran for. And that after all, this party indeed choose to support the "experienced" player.
To Shakerr:
You can't say it like this. I was an official candidate for my party and well supported. But GLD is a smaller party, so we have to hope for some good votes from semi active players. At the end of the day it was the decission to get me in or 2 other active and quality players. So an easy decission! This article is in no way against the GLD, which is a good party. It is the poor voting system in eRep!

Indeed a poor voting system. it is no democracy. But is a a game. It gives a lot of possibilities to intervene in the election results with tactical votes. That makes it interesting to change the results. you are the victim. You could be winner too.
2-clicker is far better. No need to get sad about anything.
Just do your thing and become stronger and maybe you will get involved some day. Good luck.
