Ladies and Gentlemen may I present...

Day 885, 19:50 Published in South Africa South Africa by Lee Richards

My congress manifesto:

I am running in Free State under the IA banner and I would greatly appreciate your vote.

True to the IA's stance on politics I am going to cut the BS and get straight to the point. I'm not going to bore you with a long list of my achievements or huge chunks of text telling you about my grand plans. Instead I am going to offer you three simple pledges:

1)To do my job properly and represent YOU:
I am your voice when it comes to politics. If you, the people, have an issue that you think needs to be addressed then it is my duty as your congressman to make sure the government knows about it. I am not a miracle worker, I can't guarantee that if you come to me with an issue that I will make the government solve it, no one can guarantee you that. What I can guarantee however is that I will listen to your problems, offer any help and advice that I can if that is the case, and make sure that the leadership of this country are at the very least hearing what the average person has to say about things.

2)If elected I will donate AT LEAST 5G to the RBSA:
Previously congresspersons would donate the 5G they got from being elected straight to the RBSA however with the new treasure map's this is no longer always possible. If I am elected, no matter what I get from my treasure map, I will donate the usual 5G to the RBSA. Every time I have been elected in eSA I have donated my 5G and I intend to carry on doing so, even if some of it comes out of my own pocket.

3)To be as transparent as possible
I believe People have a right to know what their politicians are doing and as such will be publishing an article detailing what proposals I voted yes to and which I voted no to, as well as any proposals I make myself. The article will either be one close to the end of the month (I'm thinking maybe the 20th May) or instead I could publish an article after every vote with just a few lines detailing what the proposal was, what I voted and why and the eventual outcome of the proposal. Tell me which you would prefer and I will make it so.

Well there we have it, my manifesto for congress. There really is only one more thing to say:

Vote for Lee Richards in Free State on day 887
