La mort d'une légende: The Execution of Sir William Wallace

Day 2,198, 14:56 Published in Ireland Ireland by The Irish William Wallace

It was a cloudy day, shadowed light and a chilling breeze. What a different day this was compared to most days past. Here is Wallace and his vision was vast, but no longer could his strength maintain his mighty passion or quell his wrath.

He fought for eIreland with all his might, the Anglish dared not face him in a fight. He fought alongside free men during the Great December Revolution of 2010 and the mightiest siege on London and we celebrated in sweet revenge together.

Wallace became political and a fine politician he was, helping to rebuild eIreland with SoE and the Fenian Brotherhood. He later broke off and left a mark on eIrish politics, he created the Independent Labour Party and watched it grow into one of the most influential parties in the past two years of eIrish history.

But the established hierarchy disproved of Wallace and his radicalism, he was too 'unruly' for them to bare

On that fateful day these people plotted, whether subconsciously or not, the downfall of a man that they could not understand. Wallace dealt us life and gave us love, sold us out for the Great Above. He worked with many from all sides - he believed in something greater than faction-politics, he believed in a Greater eIreland protected from threats both foreign and domestic. An eIreland that was free. Some mistook this for being power hungry, some for medal-hunting, but a handful believed in me. From trolls to pushovers, from Orcs to Spiritual Warlords.

The Kurg

Wallace became a president and implemented the first democratic CP experiment known in eRepublik. What a fascinating idea it was, but some hated Wallace and wanted him to fail. They kidnapped his beloved Party and undermined his efforts, they helped stagnate a nation and Wallace knew no better.

He spent countless days working for eIreland and his opposition refused to acknowledge it. The handful who stayed by his side are among one of the only who will know it. The whole New World had changed much within these last 3.5 years, Wallace's foundations in politics started to become unclear. The mechanics have changed and the political-economic module have been downplayed and Wallace cannot bear to simply click "Fight!" 200 times per day. He put down his sword and was brought to the executioners readily awaiting his final day.

He knew his time was coming near and so Wallace did the most noble thing and expressed his true savage way. In the end he only could create one meaningful thing and the rest was a rejection of his natural way, to destroy because all he created got taken away. He had some good laughs and made wonderful enemies in his last few weeks, but I would suggest that his victims turn the other cheek. He did this only for one reason: it's the change of a season.

eIreland will forever teeter back and forth from solitude to chaos, but those who know know that the inner-eIrish struggles are what makes this game fun and rewarding. If you find yourself outside the inner-circle, destroy it and make your own. That is what Wallace did and revolutions he condones. Be eIrish, be FREE because one day all eIrish may agree...and how boring would that be? Wallace then looked up and knew in his heart that there would always be troublemakers or at least maybe three.

And his last words were...

*Let's that sink in...*

All that I can say now is carry my swor😛 you revolutionaries, genuine good guys, those who consider eIreland to be their eHome, the freedom fighters, and all those who wanted to see things done differently! Realize that eIreland will never have the numbers to successfully takeover any other country, nor lead any alliances. We are special, we punch well above our weight in each Military Unit and our political circus is the best entertainment. The community is terribly amazing, but nevertheless a unique corner of the New World rarely ever explored by eRepublik players. It is something to be proud of, it is something that I've held onto for the last 3.5 years. I've learned a ton of real-life Irish history and culture because I moved here. I watched many Irish films, researched Irish history (from the Druids to nowadays), and read the excellent works of James Connolly. I'm proud to have lived eIrish, but alas MikeBane is irrelevant and I've purposefully been a wanker these past few weeks.

Follow your dreams whether political, military, economic, or societal. Don't let yourself become the victim.

Signing out,
MikeBane
