Kurgan can't handle being CP

Day 2,071, 10:53 Published in Ireland Ireland by Death and Taxes

Well, it's a sad day. I didn't come home to try and sow universal peace in Ireland, not even the combined talents of Nelson Mandela, Bill Clinton and Solomon could achieve that.

But what I did hope for was to start the ball rolling in dealing with some of the problematical issues we have had over the last few years. The Kurgan is just one of these. Had Kurgan taken up the challenge of entering the CP race we all could have seen what genuine talent he may have had, as distinct from the little yap dog he has been since time immemorial.

But I digress. Let's concentrate on some more important things:

This is a game.
It's not a very good one, and it's getting worse.
There are two reasons why players like I still play. The first is a vain hope that the admin authorities will actually do something to fix the three main modules, particularly the economic and political ones. The second is that we have invested so much time and/or money in the game it's hard to let go.

The consequences of all the above is very similar to waiting in a deserted train station waiting for the last train to come and hoping you don't get mugged again.

So while we wait we look for opportunities to entertain ourselves. Kurgan and RTK are one of the few trolls remaining in eIreland. Unfortunately, they're not even good trolls. We used to have a world class troll called Dan Breen here, Kurgan merely falls into the also-ran category. Dan Breen allegedly conspired with Marcus Suridius and IRR to steal 1m IEP from Ireland and managed to put all the blame on Marcus, Mr Conway, IRR and OJ. But don't take my word for it, take it for someone who was MoF at the time:

As people around at the time and know what they are talking about will tell you, Conway, who received the money through an overpriced auction gave the 100k back because that was all he received. Is that truthful? I don't know.

What's important to recognise is that this robbery, in conjunction with the 2m stolen by sawc (see my previous article) bankrupted this country. This has meant that the country has been unable to sustain a proper military structure nor sign the number of MPP's small countries need to survive.

All we have had was the 180k still left in our orgs, the 100k returned by Conway, and the 350k donated to the State by Yddub through yours truly.

There are two important elements to take from this. The first thing is that there was a time when the country was rich, and that the individual responsible for this is our current CP, Sweet Drinker, as he was MoF for the duration where this money was accrued.

The second is that - whether you like it or not - while Sweet was MoF and under the auspices of whatever political party the ICA had affiliation to, this large amount of money was safe. It was only when that governance ended and Sweet left as MoF that all the robberies took place.

This is not to say that the new CP's and their staff were foolish and incompetent. More that they were somewhat naive in how this game actually works. Greed and opportunism plays a very major role indeed.

Which brings us to Kurgan

Kurgan has railed and ranted over the last two years on completely irrelevant points. He has constantly criticised previous administrations no matter how good they were based merely on the fact of them being ICA led. This, in spite of the fact that these same administrations were responsible for the best and worst of times for our nation. Boring they were not.

He has never criticised any non-ICA government even though they were the keepers of the gate where 3m IEP was taken from the State that bankrupted us.

He keeps up a non-stop diatribe targeting certain individuals including the current CP, even though he and his ministers - along with previous ones - have done a stellar job in dragging our country back to a point of stability.

That is why I wanted to give him an opportunity to show why he has a right to criticise current and previous governments. Why he has a right to criticise current and previous CP's. Why he has a right to show there is a better means of governance that this country needs.

Kurgan has declined to take this opportunity because he doesn't have the cojones to take the job. He will say 'I will decide when I want to be CP' He will say 'Only when all the scum are purged from Ireland will I become CP' (Tricky that one as he would have to exile himself first). Finally, he will say it is the wrong time of the month, wrong alignment of the planets, or that he needs to wash his hair.

It doesn't matter what he says. He won't run for CP because he knows he is incapable of running to the shops let alone deal with a presidency. Still, I leave the door ajar that he might change his mind, I for one will vote for him. Because I too want to have fun....
