JULY CP ELECTION: INTERVIEW WITH CANDIDATES

Day 2,415, 05:30 Published in Armenia Republic of Moldova by Sisk

This is going to be an exciting election for Armenia. We have 4 candidates , supported by 5 parties. !

● Please stay involved and participate in this election. I am trying to offer you as much information about each candidate that I can.
● Keep your minds open for the qualities each candidate has to offer our country.

The candidates are :

The list of questions :
1. Please tell us a little about yourself in-game and in real life.
2. Armenia is a new country in eRepublik. What plans do you have for the fresh future of the country.
3. The population is small and more or less inactive . What plans do you have to increase the activity in the country.
4. Tell us about your goals for the country
5. How do you feel about transparency in government and communication in general?
6. As a small country, we need all the friends we can get. How do you feel about MPPs and how would you fund them.
7. Any plans for a future war or a training war
8. What plans do you have for making the armenian community more tight
9. IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHERS THINGS TO SAY FEEL FREE TO SPEAK

1. My name is Krikor, but everybody calls me Koko (hence my nick). Started the game 3 and half years ago, due to the request of a Greek friend (in those days, having 2 referral players added bonus to work and train). Not finding either Lebanon or Armenia in the game, I joined my birth country, Turkey. I joined the Turkish Socialist Party, RSP, and on several occasions, participated in Coalition governments, usually as MOFA, as well as serving twice as Congress leader.
When Armenia was introduced in the game, before applying for citizenship, I asked a simple question to admin, which was considered as an application, and I turned into one of the founding fathers of Armenia.
In real life, I am 58 years old, born in Istanbul, Turkey, and living in Beirut, Lebanon since 1965.
I am an electrical engineer, working in repair of Electrical Generators.

2. and 3. As you yourself say in your 3rd question, our population is not active. I have in fact checked all citizens, and out of 131 Founding Fathers, 38 have left back to their original country, only 91 remaining (as of last week). Out of 235 New citizens, 81 have been banned, and of the remainder, maybe 20 or so are active (I am counting even slightly active).
In this situation, talking about grandiose plans for baby boom would only be lying on my part. With the limited number of Ethnic Armenians joining the game, it is my belief that we ought to aim for diversity, welcome all ethnicities, until the situation changes.
4. and 6. I (and my party) wish to stand neutral for as long as possible; I realize this will be impossible in the long term in a war based game, but we will try to achieve this for as long as possible. Making MPP’s with no currently visible enemy will only make us potential enemies for the other side.
As most people are aware, we signed a Non-Agression Pact with Turkey, and we plan on renewing this for as long as possible; with several former eTR citizens in our party, we feel that our contacts with them will make this possible.

5. I believe absolutely in transparency. With the exception of VERY rare cases, where negotiations are ongoing, and talking about them would endanger the negotiations, I do not think government should have secrets from citizens.
On the subject of communication, While I think government should have frequent status articles, I personally hate writing them (most of my own press activity has been limited to party or congress reports)

7. With the current number of our citizens, a real war would be madness in my opinion.
As for a training war, the only logical candidate is Georgia, and that one has been blocked by Plato until our Capital region is out of protection. I do not want to predict what will happen then.
8. We are open to dialogue with every other party; unfortunately, due to the number of ex-Turkish citizens in our party, we have been branded PTO’rs, despite the fact other ethnicities have much bigger numbers.
Until and unless the others re-consider their boycott, there is nothing much I can do; one side cannot make a dialogue alone.

9. Since I mentioned PTO in point 8 and banned players in point 2, I would like to add that 30 of those were banned between 20 and 25th of the month, that is just before the congressional elections; anybody who checked *before and after* results of the voting will know whose votes got deleted, and who attempted PTO.
I sincerely hope that next elections will be without a fakeboom.

My thanks you for making this interview, and thanks to everybody who read this.
