Joshua For CP

Day 3,241, 20:15 Published in Norway Denmark by Joshua Morriseau

Here is my final installment in my campaign for President. I will present to you the major plans for Green October which I hope you will see is what we need to reform Norway's lagging military and boost our activity as a nation.

Restoring the Monarchy:
Ive been teasing this for a while but its finally done and ready to present. This term the First Draft will be presented to Congress. Although I am not sure if it is best to seek a referendum or Congressional Approval this will all be discussed in the debate. I look forward to adding a new exciting element to our little nation and a debate that will hopefully wake Congress up.

Embassies:
This term Eris and I hope to expand the Embassies Program she has set up this past month by opening more Embassies one of which will be in Hungary. It is important that we make better diplomatic efforts. Being small isn't an excuse to not do, its the reason we must double down and work even harder to ensure it gets done, which it will under my government!

Economy:
Under my terms as Minister of Finance I made it my mission to drive down taxes and that is what I will continue to drive as CP this month. I believe that keeping our Import Taxes at the lowest levels possible is the best approach. Norway is a very independent nation in the way that most citizens here produce their own food and weapons. But for those who do need to buy we need to offer as much choices as possible and by allowing foreign competitors into the market we keep prices as low as possible.

Region Swap With Sweden:
Unfortunately our relationship with Sweden has been sour as of late. A big part of this is due to miscommunication and to Medal Hunters. Previous governments of Norway have failed to inform people here at home and abroad which territories are up for grabs in RWs. We have many Medal Hunters using our RWs with Sweden and Finland to their own advantage.

But note that Sweden must retain access to their UK holdings and that we should do our very best to ensure that the access for them is not broken. In this I will work out the exact plan with Sweden to make sure they keep their access while holding that open dialogue that previous governments have failed to do.

Training Wars:
We have long held TWs with Sweden and Finland but It was my hope to have a TW with our old friends to the south, Netherlands. For this we will need access to Vestlandet which means Sweden will have to retain Sorlandet & Ostlandet to keep access to the UK.

Our friends in Netherlands have also had the misfortunate of a dwindling community as of late and they could use a nice TW. Its also a great time for us to revisit our past relations with them as we haven't really kept that well in contact over this past year, something I would like to see reversed. Ive already brought up the idea with some of their politicians and I will bring it officially forth to their new government within days of taking office.

MPPs:
Norway has had a strict no MPP policy for sometime now, well over most of the year. Before we used to carry anywhere from 5-8 MPPs at one time. I think its time for us to end this closed door policy. Far to much time we have thought about ourselves and our TWs with Sweden and Finland and now we must start to think of our allies once again and aid them in their battles as well as building new relations. Norway cannot continue to go forward like this. We need a better military structure and more leadership to take us in the direction of where we need to be. I will seek Congress approval to sign some MPPs this month although how many exactly I am not 100% on. I would personally like to see 5 signed this month but in the end it is up to Congress.

Reforming the Military
Norway is great at keeping in touch with her citizens through the use of in game threads. I was discussing the possibility of doing this to keep our military in better structure by doing the same thing except having different threads for D1, D2, D3, D4. It is just an idea of one of the small ways we can keep our military a little more coordinated.

Military Strikes:
Last September during my Presidency I worked on hosting a Norwegian Strike. It was quite a fun event and we ended up doing about 700-750million damage altogether in the event. We had some weapons which were donated by taulen and john and gave them out to allies where we all hit for in one battle. I hope to organize a similar event but it would be nice to co-host it with an allied nation this time which was the goal of the last event however it fell through and just became a Norwegian event. Either or would be great fun again and we I hope we can achieve this in October.

New Citizens:
In the past two months alone we have seen only one person move to Norway. In previous months when Norway released public articles inviting people to come to Norway we received a small handful of people and they continue to play an integral part in our society. My government will revisit posting public articles to attract new citizens to Norway this month.

Contests & Games:
Norway used to have plenty of public contests such as quizzes and that however over the past few months they have stopped. A sign that activity is down. But like I said earlier, this just means we need to double down and work that much more harder to ensure the most possible fun for our citizens. Expect a couple of public contests this month!

I have a sneaking suspicion that there is something I forgot to include here so I will update the article if I remember. If you haven't seen it yet please check out October's cabinet should I win. You'll notice a new inclusion which I am excited to announce. The Ministry of National Security which is to be headed by M.d R. And because its a matter of national security, well, I can't really talk about it publicly.

If there is anything I have missed or you have any questions please pm me or drop a comment below. And of course don't forget to get out and VOTE on election day.

For a more secure, strong and independent Norway, vote Joshua!

Dedicated Proven Leadership

Kind Regards,
