I guess that I'll go first.

Two contenders have stepped forward to challenge my bid for the country presidency.

Matthew Valius
He's a returning player, with half a decade of absence. It's easy to cast doubt upon his reliability and don't believe he will get his party's nomination. So, I've asked him to serve on my administration.
This will be a chance for him to get some administrative experience and prove he's no flake.

Wild Owl
He's a 10 time President, the Minister of Defense, the Director of Immigration, the first dictator and self proclaimed, "Former King of America." He's abdicated his retirement, in an effort to preserve the status-quo, secure the forum's authority over eUS politics, uphold an executive decision and recapture his former glory.
If he doesn't win it would be a sure sign that the citizens feel disenfranchised with the Wild Owl Doctrine.



Policies and the means of dissemination:

Economics
The president doesn't set the tax rate. Regardless, it's a popular subject at election time. So, I'll share my view.
The most popular theory about socialism is the theory that maximum taxes represent socialism. It doesn't work too well, in practice. The eGov has tried it and it actually earned us less money than a lower tax rate.
It's too easy to evade taxes and there's nothing the eGov can do about it. Everyone moves to a commune and only the new citizens end up paying the tax.
TL😉R: I won't be trying to nationalize our economy.

Diplomatic
I've been talking with some of our allies and some of our former allies. Word is; we don't do enough to aid them.
I'd have to agree. Last week, one of our allies were wiped. We didn't hear a peep, until they were toast.
I'd like to put an ambassador in contact with each of our allies. Also, I'd provide a list of the ambassadors. That way, congress and the public will be able to consult the embassy.
TL😉R: The next time one of our allies are wiped, I'll be making a war proposal, against the aggressors.

Domestic
I don't believe that politics are reserved for an elite ruling class of intellectuals. (Some are from the other end of the spectrum.) Most of my administration team will be constituted of new faces and I'll ask the veteran players to serve as advisors.
Social activities will include; A writing contest, an art contest, mass attacks and a weekly Q and A conference. At the conferences, I'll be able to answer questions for the general public.
There will be an increase in eGov media. I'll write it myself, if I have to. Although, I don't believe it will come to that. There are plenty of talented people who are seeking opportunities like this.
I prefer to administrate with the default game mechanics. Lobbying for my proposals with be conducted in-game. This would allow me to contact every congress member and not just the people that are using eUS forum.
