We just have to know our place. Step out of it & one way or another we will suffer.
A genuine peace requires a genuine approach from ALL parties.

We could have peace if our CP actually tried Luis (cant remember your old name), it has been said and shown loads of times that he never bothers trying to make peace. It could have been done in his first term but he went on about the Falklands and ETA which guaranteed there would be no peace. The reason we had and wanted the NAP was so that over a bit of time it could allow us the and the UK to work together and who knows invade someone with each others help but thats gone now.

On the last note, it does cause players to leave. At one stage TCO had two legions full of Irish who left due to boredom, I know cause I was one of them and if you look at TCO command you will see a few Irish at the very top who have been there for the past year or two.

Eh, I had fun. Hard to be resentful about that.

I haven't been active enough to know if we handled the war well from a tactical standpoint, but even if we didn't, I can't imagine it being much worse than just continuing to fight forever for other countries' agendas and never having a cause of our own to get excited about. All that ever led to was boredom and stagnation and utterly pointless arguments between PPs about who was the most genuine socialist. Not that I dislike socialism, but YAWN. I would rather get wiped once in a while doing something bold and interesting and meaningful to Ireland than to simply exist in perpetual safety.

But maybe that is just me.

Its not the point that we were wiped for a cause or a reason, we were wiped due to complete incompetence. It is no different than when we had JC as CP and he near got us wiped, you were along side us then Stilpo demanding he be impeached.

I didn't read this entire article, only for the simple fact I knew the majority of what you were going to say.

This is embarrassing, yes, but at the same time, it falls on everyone(as a country). The CP we have now is just F**KING STUPID! We've had multiple chances to discuss peace! There's nothing wrong with openly saying we were out matched and sooner or later, taken over completely. They have more citizens(active especially), more allies, and obviously more will to fight. Diplomatic actions should've been taken long ago, not towards the end when eUK CAME TO US! What's wrong with saying, "I won't settle for less than what we had before all this bullshit started"? At least you're making an effort to stand your ground, but at the same time showing the respect of the other country that's offering you the same deal!

Now look where we stand, no where! The unity is almost completely gone, but who cares right? F**K that! I'm tired of shitty CP's coming in and ruining what we had/could've had! There's nothing wrong with remaining neutral, at least we keep our country! We're not big enough to even start a war alone, let alone helping another country out that isn't going to be here now to help us! Current and future CP's need to start looking at the long haul, not the near future. It's bad enough we have thieves throughout the country, but let's add getting us completely taken over(again) to the record book as well.

Something new needs to happen or you will find this country dwindling in citizens, myself included. If people in this country can't be competent in a leadership position/no leadership position, then there's no point in even staying here. If people are going to get their heads out of their ass, it needs to be now. That's my 2 cents on this subject and hopefully people start to figure out what the hell needs to happen in order for us to get out of this as a WHOLE!

MUFCs second half of this term certainly isn't going as well as his first half. It's not an easy job. The eUK has been offered an unconditional peace, and their CP is not interested.

Paddy thats a load of horse shite, we have had great people wanting to run but how can they when EA/ILP always support MUFC?

They are two of Irelands biggest parties and they support him every month no matter how crap he does, if we ran someone he would still be against a party that going by numbers could have upto 147 votes between EA/ILP.

Paddy, quality players have been trying to run, ILP and EA have just squashed them. Last month for example Sweet wanted to run but he dropped out because of the stupid war MUFC plunged the country into, which everyone with a brain could foresee the result of.
Bhane, all of his terms have been shite. Activity 😕= competence.

Hi I don't anything about this game, but if ireland goes to peace with ebritain or whatever they are called, doesn't that effectively shut down any chance of expansion. To the best of my knowledge Spain and America are the only other two nations within striking range and they are actually able to fight. Doesn't this mean that Britain should be a permanent enemy unless access though their territory is secured by way of territory trade. It seems to me that peace treaty with Britain is a terrible idea, they are the weakest nation on the border. It would seem that at this point everything eireland does should be cantered around strengthening the nations position against ebritain. I don't know if that makes any sense as I say I really don't have much of a clue

I'm not sure that expansion is a realistic goal for Ireland, but you're on the right track with your thinking in my opinion. If Ireland's only goal will be to retain its regions and suck up to all our neighbors for fear of losing said regions, then this place will get really stale really quick. In turn, this affects the activity of our citizens and basically gives us zero chance at ever accomplishing anything more than sitting on our little island electing demagogues that want nothing more than to inflate their own statures by taking the "safe" route.

MUFC has done a great job. Any CP that pisses off the UK is not bad in my books. The CP job is to give the country a mission or challenge each month. I have been bored as anything in this game recently. Argintina wiping the UK was good fun. Getting our country back will be fun too.

I'm not going to criticize MUFC because at least he created some entertainment and activity around here. Sure, it sucks getting wiped, but it also sucks sitting on your hands doing nothing around here too. Just as the UK fought back, now is the time for us to fight and gain our regions back. You might be right, but I'd still rather see those people step up and do it, rather than watching the country divide over all the political bitterness and rhetoric.

I'd also rather see this country take a shot at activity and lose, than sit around in a lethargic state, as well. Maybe some can do it better (I don't doubt this), but I've heard those promises ever since coming here and watched as their inactivity and self inflation bred boredom and killed off any hopes of uniting everyone in a cause worthy of being active.

Again, "stepping up and doing it" doesn't reflect practical or political reality. Some of us have lives outside the game that need tending to, some of us are politically ostracised despite being competent, and some of us aren't arsed to be constantly abused by morons.

Reality is what you make it to be. If you don't have time to change it, then you shouldn't have time to complain about all the things you, yourself, aren't willing to step up and do.

i dont see any change in my bottomline but think all of my companies is in dublin so perhaps will see what the big deal is today. anyway lots of battles here means less travel fees and not being able to control the DO that aint a bad thing. saved me prbly 400 IEP with no loss of income till tomorrow.
