It wasn't long ago that a cloud seemed to be hanging over eIreland. The world was changing and eIreland seemed certain to lose out and be left behind. Our country had been robbed, our dignity smeared, and our hope smothered. It's impossible to say what the future really holds; but in the last few weeks Ireland has seen glimmers of promise despite probable negative alternatives.

There are a few integral steps that we have taken in the passing weeks. For a while we seemed to be in between gears; suffering from that nauseating feeling of uncertainty. But with the eUK falling victim to regular assault by third parties like EDEN, our esteemed friends, Ireland is sitting high and pretty.

We recently won a series of battles; ultimately defeating the eUK's grasp of Northern Ireland and returning the region back into the island nation's (aka. Ireland's) hands. Canada has kindly blown in from the North, to rip Scotland free of the eBrits, thus making Ireland's victory that much sweeter. We are all reminded of the old days when Canada and Ireland, among others, routed the eUK.

And how has this all happened? There are three main factors: 1. Ireland's new friends. 2. The eUK's being under heavy fire and regular occupation. 3. The commitment and efforts of top rate soldiers and citizens.

Ireland's future is brighter than it has been since last we took Northern Ireland. There is something about this particular (rather reoccurring) victory, which is so rewarding for us Irish, no matter how many times the territory flops back and forth. Perhaps this time we will hold Northern Ireland and remain a nation intact. With EDEN relations improving at a rapid pace, Ireland becoming a more and more internationally known and respected country, and the eUK finally facing an episode of justice, we can all enjoy a brief moment of national pride.

I said brief people, there's still work to be done...
