Introduction to the life of ollizu – Who am I?

In this article I will briefly present to eUS community who am I, which is my history and why am I in the eUS. But before moving into detail I'd like to share some background music with you and apologize my non-fluent English because I'm not a native speaker.

In real life I am eighteen years old third year student studying information technology and electronics at vocational school. At the same time, however, I am studying for the matriculation examination at upper secondary school. This way of studying is called a dual qualification because I will accomplish two examinations. I live in central Finland and spend most of my time by listening metal music, studying or doing some housework. And hanging out with friends of course.

I've been playing eRepublik approximately two and a half years since April 2009. That's a long time for playing a browser game but during my stay I have got many mind opening experiences which I wouldn't have been able to get elsewhere. Most of my time I've been a member of Finnish community which has been a natural choice for a Finn. In the past I've served in many political positions, such as minister of domestic affairs, minister of defense, president, several party president terms and 21 terms as a congressman. In addition I've served nearly two years in Finnish military.

But well... After all if you're doing something for too long in the same way you get bored. And If you know that you can have a better life with various new opportunities why not to make your dreams come true? After my last term as a congressman of Finland in June 2011 I made a decision. I decided that I would try something new.

However, it took a long time before I got something done. About a month and a half ago I heard from my friend TTi that there might be some available positions in the US Special Forces. I decided that this is the change I've been dreaming about and I posted an application and got eventually approved. I changed my citizenship for the first time in my eRepublik history and replaced my old Finnish army clothes with a shiny Special Forces uniform. Since my approval I've been a happy citizen of US and I hope that I can represent my new country on the battlefield in the future too.



Military aspect of the game has been my primary alignment for couple of months but I'd like to do something else too. It might be that you haven't noticed but I have written a couple of articles (here & here) about changes in the game. Media activity and fighting is something, of course, but I've thought that occasional writing and daily fighting for the Stars and Stripes is not enough.

I have a vast experience in Finnish politics but it doesn't really count much. In this fast-paced environment things that you have done recently count most. I have to admit that I'm a novice in U.S. Politics but I've joined the American Military Party with intention to start participating in politics. At first to start learning because it is the thing I'm eager to do. In conclusion I hope you allow me to be part of your excellent and strong community!
