Impeachment Failed.

Day 2,307, 03:07 Published in Australia Canada by Claire Louise

The vote is over, it ended with 4 yes votes and 4 no votes.

Cyber.Casper confirmed to me that he had logged in and voted yes to impeaching himself. That means 3 congress members did not vote. If they had of voted, and voted yes, the impeachment would have passed with a 72% yes vote, as CC's vote bumped it to 11 total.

To those who voted no: I have no idea what was doing through your head, honestly. It's all over the forums, it's been mentioned in game, the only conclusion I can draw is that you aren't active enough and don't read the media, or perhaps a vote or two was in spite.

I can't stress enough how important it is to have an active party president moving the congress list around at election time. Why put inactive players through to congress? Speaking of which - I remember a time when somebody had to fight for a PP spot, you actually had to work for it, release manifesto's, prove to people you were good enough for that position. You actually had to do something throughout the term rather than sit on your backside. And PP's were voted for, democratically, in game, not chosen in secret on an external platform.

We now cannot impeach CC for another 7 days. We have no 'official' CP for the next week.

Tim_Holtz is acting CP, since he will be the next CP if congress can be trusted to vote correctly next time. If somebody needs a screenshot of CC confirming that Tim is acting CP, then I can get that for you. I'm sure at least someone will kick up a fuss. Tim is acting CP, he has his cabinet, and we will have to try our damn best for the next week.
