Recently, I wrote an article about the IRC. I tried to show that most of the game is taking place there, and in the forums. I recently spent some time in the IRC to observe the Bruno Campaign. During this chat, an impromptu "debate" sprung up between Ajay Bruno and Mattoze5. Ajay Bruno is running for Conservative Party President against Mattoze5, the current PP. It doesn't seem that Mattoze5 wishes to formally debate Ajay Bruno. This may be their only public interaction before election day. I now present to you the "debate".

(Ajay) Matt.. you've effectively ran our last 2 campaigns even before DF left. You've taken us from 8 to 7 to 4 seat. Something isn't kosher. You're barely active. You disappear for days on end. This is a big responsibility. There is blame to go around but Matt, you're the guy in charge. If you can't coordinate the party, then we need someone who does. You've effectively had 2 terms since you ran everything for DF's last.

During this interaction, I had a few questions for Ajay in a private chat.
Kara: You have been accused of racist statements. Care to defend yourself?
Ajay: Yes. They were off-color jokes that I have explained and repeatedly apologized if they were misinterpreted. My opponents like to harp on them endlessly.
Kara: It is my impression that you like to state who you don't like a lot. Is this fair?
Ajay: I like to state who I believe is the cause of many of the unnecessary conflicts that occur.
Kara: Being so outspoken, do you consider that a hindrance at all. It seems to rub people the wrong way.
Ajay: I think there's nothing wrong with standing up for principles and you have a lot more success at it than when you stand for nothing like the current CVP leadership has. Doing that leads to nothing but disappearing into oblivion and failure.
Kara: You said, "As Party President, I will get the Conservative Party within striking distance of USWP". How do you plan on accomplishing this?
Ajay: Massive voter outreach to recruit new members. Not anytime soon but we'll get there in a few months.
Kara: Would you like to add anything?
Ajay: I am happy to announce that former Conservative Party President Ron_Paul has endorsed me. Our campaign is gaining momentum and our message is resonating. I look forward to winning over the voters of this party and getting everyone involved in getting us moving in the right direction!

Ajay has lost a lot of credibility with me. I don't know if he's the right person to run the CvP. On the other hand, he does seem to inspire something in his own party and if Ron Paul really does endorse him maybe he's got a shot...
And PP may be his only shot in politics. I don't know of too many people outside his party that take him seriously at all.

Kara, I hope you got Mattoze's permission to post the IRC chat. If not you could be reported and receive a warning + forfeit points.
I hope there were permissions for this publication, otherwise someone will get some warning points...
I do not understand why a real debate cannot happen. I think that it would only be right for the party. I would think Ajay and Matt would want that. The thing to remember here is that the position is not for one or a few it is for the entire party. If you are not looking to grow the party and represent the people's wishes then you should not be leading it.
P.S. thank you for posting whether you had permission or not happy to see someone putting it out there

No one in our party takes him seriously. He's the biggest failboat joke that I've ever seen and everyone is just sick of him. The only shot he has of beating Matt is by getting the zombie vote from inactive CvP members who don't know any better. If Ajay wins the PP then the party will fall apart, not grow bigger.

Seing as how you're using this as justification for allowing something that happened on IRC to be quoted in an eRep newspaper, I'm curious.
Ajay, do you care to comment why you reported another newspaper for using dialogue that occured on a publicly (read, not private) viewable channel? An action by you that resulted in forfeit points being added to another user's account. I am very curious to see the answer to this because it shows a certain hypocrisy in your views.

Ajay, in case you were wondering it was all a joke. I think the person who deserves shame is the person who has brought this party down with him, and that is you.

I haven't been to Italy yet because of financial reasons. I said I would prefer a city where it's safe and I won't be mugged. That's all. Nothing wrong with that. If I am going to study abroad it's something to think about.

Not a member of the CvP and I don't know either Matt or Ajay, so this is a purely objective observation on my part. If I were one of the "lower" party members, I think that I would take offense to that statement.
If anything, I'm happy that my party, the Libertarian Party, doesn't have this sort of thing occurring within our ranks. Any disenfranchised CvP members are always welcome over there.
Many people dislike Ajay and consider him a joke because other parties have used the media to slander him.
Those who wish to see the CvP succeed, like me and many other of its members (we have the votes to prove it) support Ajay because he offers firm leadership. Our current party president, Matt, is as Ajay has said, unpassionate about the party or its potential impact on eUSA.
I understand where Matt is coming from though. He is afraid of having a man so disliked and laughed at as the CvP president. It's ashame that this is so. Look at the people who comment poorly about Ajay, or write slanderous articles about him. They are mostly citizens out of the CvP party. I feel that Ajay hasn't been given a fair oppurtunity to deliver his message to the people and make his impact on our party due to outside sources.
As a CvP member, I feel that Ajay holds a torch to any other aspiring-CvP member. It is clear by his efforts that he is at least passionate about his cause. He has devoted a lot of time and effort into what he has done.
In short, I wish the media wouldn't paint such a bad image of a guy who has really done nothing but stated his beliefs and opinions, and tried to obtain a high political office for the good of eUSA and its citizens. Give the guy a break.
