How we just lost Manitoba

Day 616, 11:29 Published in Canada Canada by Rigour6

With an hour to go -10K.

With 10 minutes to go -40K.

A superb counter by our allies, the Americans were there, the Spanish arrived in force and turned it back to -6K with only a couple of minutes left to go. Anyone who thinks we've been left by our allies should take a look, some Romanians showed as well, Greeks, Swedes. Bertil Gurkvatten's effort must be recognized as awesome.

JT Vanguard gave all, Joey Phillips gave all, 1ronman gave all. But it has to be said, we didn't have enough heavy hitters. By which I mean, we, Canada, didn't.

In the end we lost it by about 12K or so.

Very exciting to watch. Heartbreaking as it turned out.

Am I wrong in thinking battles like this should be won, resolving as they do in our afternoon?

Am I wrong in thinking that allied co-ordination would turn these narrow losses into glorious victories?

Am I wrong in thinking that these battles and the pattern of them should be studied and lesson learned?

I ask honestly. I have no talent for military matters. But to go from -40K to -6K in about 6 minutes and then to lose by -12K is hard cheese.
