These are questions I am often asking myself.
So I was starting to write this article and got lots of links to helpfull guides, answering my questions. Thank you all! I'll try to compile a concentrate out of it:

- Save all gold, do not spend on anything but upgrades.
- Upgrade only during specials.
- Upgrade free Training Ground to Q4 as you go, use ONLY the free one for now.
- Save gold to upgrade the 0.19 TG to Q4, DO NOT use this one until at Q4.
- Do not upgrade the two expensive TG's unless you plan on buying gold to use them.
- Do not buy Training Contract unless you have all four TG's at Q4, then buy 90% contract only.
- Upgrade one Food Factory to at least Q3 and purchase one Q5 Raw Materials company.
- Upgrade the Food Factory to Q5 and purchase another Q5 FRM to supply all your own food.
- Join a MU that supplied you with weapons.
