Hold the Line!

Day 3,904, 02:35 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by George Cayley

As a relatively new player to this funny old world of Erepublik, it seems I've started in interesting times. And I'm enjoying it.

With recent events, the idea of a dictatorship is naturally repellent to me, but for the record, perhaps a shake-up and a bit of excitement is good for us all. Plus, the guy quoted Toto in his article so that counts for a lot in my books. Steve Lukather is frankly awesome. And a recent article was a good 'un, whatever your take on the matter.

Just wondering though... what's so great about King William The Great? Perhaps he's a fine upstanding citizen? But as for the "the rightful Prime Minister, President, and Sovereign of the eUK"? Megalomania abounds! Modesty where art thou?

A lot of references to "We...." in a recent article. Doesn't really smack of a dictatorship. It does feel a little like riding someone's coattails. And the recent article wasn't endorsed by our dictator. But, soft, each to their own.

Anyhoo. I won't be bullied into resigning from Congress. I offer neither my support nor convey any means of indifference to dictatorship. And I don't consider Congress an "elevated status" either. I hope, despite my lack of game experience, I can be of some service and use to the wider community. If that's how Congress hasn't been working (and I suspect it hasn't), that's sad, and it IS, surely, time for reappraisal. I hope other Congress members feel the same.
