Some time ago I wrote an article outline my hypothesis that the housing prices are correlated with wages. Some time has passed now and I have more data to work with. I have kept track of Q2 housing prices during this time as well. Below you can an updated version of my previous analysis showing that the relationship still holds for Q1 houses and additionally also holds for Q2 houses. The R2 (a value from 0-1 that states how much of the variation dependent variable can be explained by the independent one) values are relatively high being above 0.95.
Interestingly, even though housing prices and wages have been going up, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) has remained relatively stable. The CPI definition follows the method of the Canadian Ministry of Finance: “84 Q7 weapons, 2100 Q2 food, and 1 Q1 house. This is based on each citizen using a Q1 house non-stop, and using 1,200 energy per day for fighting, always using a Q7 weapon to fight. The base prices will be the prices of each good on Day [4,017]”.
This can explained by the compensation of Food and weapons for housing. Their prices have reduced from 0.68 CC to 0.58 CC and 84 CC to 79.4 CC respectively. Essentially, the distribution of the CPI has change
😛Food (9.9% to 8.6
😵, weapons (58.6% to 47.0
😵and housing (31.5% to 44.4
😵. Living costs are now more influenced by housing prices. If a country wants its non entrepreneurial citizens to continue fighting effectively with the energy bonus provided by houses, they will have to find a way around the rising housing prices. A move towards subsidising housing expenses for citizens has been seen over the last few weeks. American mogul Marcel the Great (Article) and Author of The Economist Spite313 (Article) have both proposed and begun housing subsidy programs for their respective countries (US and UK). Seeing these trends in the economy and these first trials, I wouldn’t be surprised if other nations followed suit.

welll Duh, but you had some good points and info. 😛
Intresting with the other products, as prices for factories are the same and you can WAM they don't seem to go up as much.
But the market works in mysterious ways.

Höhere Nachfrage, also eher steigende Preise.
Höhere Nachfrage, also eher steigende Preise."
Nice!

To base on each citizen using a Q1 house non-stop is insane. It doesn't matter that a q1 plus a good wage results in more money than they paid for the house. Players don't seem to care; MOST players use ZERO houses. You can verify by scrolling though as many residences as you care to.
i look into residences for clues to house usage... probably HUNDREDS.of cities in most countries.
The concept of baseline correlation between houses, weapons and food probably has some merit, but players should know that the admin bots remove from the top and the bottom.[food, houses, food houses, etc etc.] We take it from there. .. in over 10 years of playing, only seen weapons botted 4 or five times.[done when q1 weaps were about 0.18 cc. Compare with present globe avg around 1.80. Made my first mil off those, using my large storage.
The gun botting/price raising resulted in almost EVERYONE going from using low Q weapons to either fighting barehanded or coughing up for q7s.
Interesting to hear that housing usage is so low. Why is that? One of the first recommendations new players get here in eGermany is to buy a Q1 house. Once self sufficiency in terms of food is achieved the cap for fighting lies with energy usage. What is the downside to buying a house?
The only one i can think of is that many folks plan on not playing for over a week. i know that i let my stack of hi qs expire when i don't plan on fighting a lot.
While you are correct, not everyone is using Q1 houses. In this same sense, you could also argue that the base is off in the sense that most players do not fight using 1,200 energy each day. For the majority of active players, they use more than just Q1 houses, and way more than just 1,200 energy each day for fighting. Likewise there are people on the other end of the spectrum who don't fight at all, and therefore have little energy use and no Q7 weapon usage. The base is just an approximation on what an average player, who cares about Q1 house usage and fights with all their energy while also having no packs might use. Ultimately, the base is not so much trying to be representative of a broad base of players as it is just setting a base to gauge inflation throughout the following days and weeks.
I would argue that while the base might not represent a large swatch of players, it does a good job of bridging the gap between those who log-on once every 2 days to work, train and fight, and those who are online for 8 hours a day and constantly use all their energy and buy packs.
Good analysis, but however I am not sure that the result of your analysis is really accurate due the fact a lot us are using tycoon pack when producing houses.
With tycoon packs you receive a certain amount of work tickets if I'm not wrong. Are those enough to satisfy production though?
And if the housing production doesn't only depend on player generated work tickets, what are the other factors leading to the housing and wage increases?
You are receiving 150 tickets with the tycoon pack, which value is approximately 217500 cc (150x1450 cc)in the workers salaries, so taking in the consideration the salary I myself am receiving when working 1450 cc, I can't figure out how is it profitable to produce anything by paying such high salaries.
Tycoon Packs also offer a 20% boost in productivity, which would allow you to pretty much eliminate any pollution debuffs in the productivity calculation

nice, thanx
👍 !!
Voted + 50 DEM.
Cool, danke!
Du kannst den R2 Wert doch direkt in % übersetzen, also 95 % dann. D.h.
