I would like to introduce a couple of articles to discuss what we wanto for eBelgium. So, let's talk in comments!

It's not really that it was planned too late. It's mostly because most eBelgians doesn't care of what will happen to eBE. That's different.
JdIF, unfortunately this article only tried to change last minute things, but I know that a lot of people were working to avoid PTOs today. Anyway, it wasn't enough. We will need to change the strategy.
I was told yesterday around 17 o clock (gmt+1). If that's not too late; then what is it?
Moreover you (KD) didn't ask for help. Same for Cyko in Panda. And we don't feel that melting with other parties are really a good solution (still we did as it was told [ at 5 o clock ]).

Choose your side. It is not about politics, but it is about an invasion allowed by some eBelgians, because they are not agree with current gov and current forum leaders.
But, I think that the solution they are choosing is worst than the problem.

I'm against made-up rules myself. I follow ingame rules. I refuse to follow made-up forum-rules thought-out by people who want to maintain absolute control over this country. I think if the IG rules stipulate that a CM can invite who he wants, than that's that CM's goddamn right to invite whomever he feels like it. And if the public doesn't want this, they shouldn't elect him or the admins should change the game-mechanics.
Well, you are right on that, but you should understand that ingame tools are very poor, and without off-game community this game is a piece of nothing but clicks.
Not necessarily. I think you can do a lot with the ingame mechanics. And I'm not per se against all rules. I just believe that when IG rules collide with forum rules that the IG rules should always overrule the forum rules. And this is something that isn't the case in eBelgium.

the people of eBelgium have spoken. As a long-time member of HOPE, I can assure you that there aren't many who wanted KD as PP again. Accept maybe Yannis and Bruno. I personally do not and refuse to support a PP that doesn't even take a stance for his own party members when they are accused being the most evilest people on earth without any real proof. And I think that is well reflected in the votes. Other than that, he wasn't a bad PP, but the fact that you don't support your party members unconditionally, made my election choice a no-brainer. Otherwise (I know many won't believe this, but idc) he would have gotten my vote.
Well, I'm agree with you about that the people have spoken. But, I don't think that a vote to somebody that probably will betray you, is a good punishment-instructive vote.
Now we will see what will happen near the 25th. Are you going to allow them access to the Congress, as well? Think about it.

Why shouldn't they have access to congress? Have they don't anything wrong? Have they harmed the state in any way?... No they haven't. In fact, other than the ramblings of one guy, is there any proof of this so called PTO? Call me old-fashioned but I always believed in the principle of "innocent till proven guilty" and so far not 1 single of those so called "PTO'ers" has made himself guilty of anything. The only one's guilty here are the NLSP's and the Konrad's here in eBelgium who cry very loud "I'm being bullied" when someone is making a small joke at their expense but at the first who have been attempting to bully these harmless people out for nearly a year now.
How do you expect this to ever be solved when one side is constantly calling the other dirty PTO'er? This without any REAL proof. How can you expect to shake hands when you're stretching out your right hand and holding a gun in your left?
Did you read ChristijanXD history, in his own newspaper, or you don't want to see the truth? Please, let me know, because I can't discuss with somebody that don't read.
Look, Chistjian is a nutter. No doubt about it. He has half eBelgium in his mailing lists. Fuck, I'm in 5 of his mailing lists as well. Usually I ignore them.
Just because 1 nutter says "these are all my friends and we're all going to PTO you" doesn't make it so. I can do the same. I can send you meaningless PM's and tomorrow make an article, naming everyone in my mailingslist and announce I'm going to kill the king of Belgium and that all the ppl in that list are my accomplices. Does that make you a murderer? No it doesn't.
Does that make me a murderer? no it doesn't, because I haven't actually killed anyone. Just as Christjian has been yelling he's a PTO'er for the past year and hasn't actually PTO'd anything in all that time.
In the mean time, we do justify our occupation, future bankruptcy and a powergrab by some government people on the basis of his crazy ramblings.
a PTO takes some time, you must know that. And a full country TO takes maybe a year or more, or ask the Serbs in their war against USA imperialism.
Anyway, who is saying that ChrisXD is a murderer? He is doing his job, allowed by some eBelgians and at the end he will betray everybody. So, how do you defend someone that don't want to make a better eBelgium for their citizens?
We must look for other methods! We can't let them take the full control of your beloved country! Or yes? what do you think?
I think he should be allowed to play as he wants. Erepublik is becoming a more and more massive-online-single-player game anyway. Admins killed most group actions. What can he do wrong?
80% of the so called "PTO'ers" aren't PTO'ers but just people who settled here. Even I'm labelled as a PTO'er, even tho I've been here longer than everyone else.
But assuming he does take power. Assuming that extremely small chance that we allow him to take control. Then what? He will steal our taxes? Money has become worthless and our treasury is in the hands of other players. He will attack another nation? Boohoo, we're already taken over. And if he would attack the Netherlands or France, we'd at the very least have some fun around here.
I ask you, what else can he do?

Again: you are a PARTY president. That means you have to represent your party. When you call 3/4th of your PTO'ers, you're not really representing them, are you? You're representing other parties. As a PP you should always stick your neck out for your party member. Always.
Shame, because overall you did well. but I cannot support a PP who doesn't support his party and who supports an invasion of our lands.

Newsflash, Sunny Boy: WE ARE ALREADY INVADED. You might have missed it, so just in case I'll refer you to the world map. On this world map you will see that we are already wiped. You will also notice that we are only getting 20% of our taxes and that not one single of those so called "PTO'ers" have left. In the mean time, we do have 5 people sitting on all our money with no accountability or controll whatsoever and we have a simple-minded president who holds all the power.
I didn't allowed this. My "friends" didn't allow this. YOU and YOUR friends did this.

So shadow, what did you do to stop the double invasion? I mean, did you fight against people giving CS without following rules? Did you fight against the gov using political methods? Or you just consider that eBelgium must belong to a group of croats and serbs?
As a RL Belgian and the oldest citizen in eBelgium, I believe that this country should be for all players. Regardless of their RL nationality or regardless in what country they used to play. I don't care where you sit behind your computer, I don't care what eCountry you came from before. If you want to settle here, than you should be able to.
Instead we have created a nation with paranoid rules and paranoid, racist people who would deny people access because they happen to be born in Croatia or Serbia IRL. That's just wrong imo.
And the mere fact that when these people came into eBE, trough the help of congressmen who also didn't agree with the forum-rules, and they where welcomed in a hostile manner by the forum folk and being insulted for PTO'ers only contributed to the fact they banded together to find ways to gain a bigger share of power in this eCountry.
If you rattle a cage long enough and treat someone like a beast, don't be surprised if they become a beast. Likewise, if you call someone a PTO'er all the time and bully them into leaving the country, don't be surprised that they will eventually try to PTO you. If only to stop these insults.
Ok, so it is time to think different. Maybe you should ask what others think.

I believe in freedom, and I don't want somebody that discriminates others, if he is from the gov or a called PTOer, or a foreigner.
And don't be naive, because the people who wants to harm this country is finding support in your words.

Lorcema: I used to be an out-standing citizen in this country. I've been CP of eBE, I've minister and congressman countless times. I'm the oldest citizen in eBE. I started 22 days after the launch of this game, back in 2007. I used to be a prominent member of the eBE forum-community.
After I wasn't allowed to make simple jokes on the forum any more, they permabanned me. Now I got a chance to see how things where going on the other side. I got accepted without any hesitation by the people who resented the "forum-elite", by people who had different idea's, future-plans and ideals than those who "dictate " the forum, my "former enemies" if you will. I saw how the "forum-elite" treats them and now I feel disgusted and ashamed for ever having invested so much time and effort in sustaining that pathetic, racist and narrow-minded excuse that calls itself "the eBE forum community".
