Federalist Delegation Prepared To Lead The Way

Day 3,261, 19:55 Published in USA USA by kirintaimu

Greetings Murrikans,

Today is the 25th, the day of Congressional elections. For those of you unfamiliar with Congress, members of political parties may sign up to run for Congress through their party page. With the blessing of elected party leadership they might be endorsed as an official candidate. The criteria by which such selections are made varies from party to party, usually but not always to the good. Scrupulous judgement on the part of party leaders is important in this process, for without it the standards of Congressional service are very poor.

Therefore it falls to responsible Parties to take pride in their Congressional delegations. I have personally served 22 terms in Congress under a number of parties since the very first all-state Congress as well as Speaker Of The House (a meta-position established some time ago, which is just as it sounds) for two terms, and I can tell you that this practice has not always been a given, and that Congress can end up a bunch of stupid assholes who are dumb or malicious or both.

Congress is easy. It's as little or as much work as one makes of it and in my experience, it requires no special intelligence or skill except a willingness to participate on a regular basis, to stay informed and vote on all measures. A Congress that is interested in the game and willing to work together can have a really good time making the decisions that shape our economy and politics. Almost anyone can do it, but that's not the way the Federalist Party operates.

Federalists take pride in our Congressional delegations being competent, respectful, active, loyal to country and open minded. We seek to set the example and lead the way for Congress, not to control or dominate it. It only takes one such delegation to set the tone and direction of the term. It is not about partisanship, but service. It is for these reasons that I say you would only be helping by casting your vote for the Federalist party in the election tomorrow today.

Here follows a list of players who will appear on our ballot, although only the first 16, I believe, are officially endorsed and eligible for election.
