Farewell for now

Day 2,052, 08:56 Published in Canada USA by Churchill93

My Fellow eCanadians,

The time has come for me to bid you adieu for awhile. On July 6th, I will be heading south of the border to help our American friends – I believe they need all of the help that they can get.

Why am I announcing this now? Well – I didn’t want anybody to think that it was sour grapes over the CP election results and 'tis best to do it while the eUSA still has a Congress. I will be departing, no matter who wins.

I’ve been considering this for a month or so, but I believe that the eUSA needs another active player even more than eCanada does. I will be back, eventually. Once this war is over and eCanada has a Congress again, I won’t be far behind.

A big thanks to Dozzer, Auk Rest and the late Funky for putting up with me for so long. The three of you showed me the ropes, and I’ll be forever grateful.

Thanks to klop123 and the CPF for believing in me – I was stunned and honoured to come a close second in the last PP elections and then to have been named Party VP afterwards.

We have a great team in the CPF, with people like theSmoke, Exalted Druid, Lance Lucky, Lelouch, Randall, Theunreal etc etc – keep on fighting hard! I look forward to returning to the party in the near future.

I’d also like to thank Homer for being patient and working with me during his term as CP. He was always fair in response to any questions or criticism I threw his way – was proud to have voted for him in a CPF primary even.

Lastly, I want to thank all of eCanada (even crisfire 🙂 ) for making this time a lot of fun so far! I’ve enjoyed the laughs, the banter and even the feuds. I look forward to coming back with a tan and a bunch of loot from sending TWO back across the Atlantic and Pacific with their tails between their legs.

To conclude, I will quote Sir Winston Churchill's farewell address to Parliament:

"The day may dawn when fair play, love for one's fellow-men, respect for justice and freedom, will enable tormented generations to march forth serene and triumphant from the hideous epoch in which we have to dwell. Meanwhile, never flinch, never weary, never despair."

Long live the Brolliance!

All the best,

C

EDIT: The timeline has been expedited. I had intended on staying until July 6th, but there has been a change of plans.
