eRep in Maps Day 1837

Day 1,837, 14:05 Published in USA USA by General Cornrow Wallace

So, I was looking back at my older articles, and the most votes I've ever gotten was 69. I laughed like an idiot I am. I also found the inspiration for this paper, Which was Mainegreen's original paper. He actually knew what he was doing, while I just sit here and pretend. Take a look if you've never heard of him or his paper, or for a bit of nostalgia. Anyway, let's get into it.

We start in South America, where Venezuela continues to attempt to free Guayana from Spanish control. Like the previous attempts, this is not going well for the resistance, as Spain leads comfortably 64-2.

Moving onto mainland Spain, they continue their invasion of their neighbor, Portugal, successfully conquering the region of Algarve. This leaves Portugal with only one more region, so expect Spain to be ready to rewipe their neighbor off the map soon enough.

French resistance also continue their campaign against Poland, with three regions already liberated, they set their sights on Provence Alps Azur, and the battle here if fierce, with Poland holding a slim 17-16 lead.

Greece continues to face war on multiple fronts. We start with a resistance war in Italy, initiated in the region of Sicily. Greece is leading this battle 44-22.

Bulgaria regained the initiative in their war with Greece after a failed attack on Thrace, and have started their own attack in the Aegean Islands. Bulgaria holds a slim lead here, 29-26.

Serbia continues their march through Greece, having won the last seven battles, they are closing in on their eight straight victory, this one in the region of Attica, as they lead comfortably 61-5.

Macedonia has won the last two against Greece, and are closing in on their third straight victory, this one in the region of Central Greece, where they are crushing the Greeks 76-1.

Greek resistance forces are also not having success against Macedonia, as they fight to free Macedonia from Macedonia. Yeah, it confused the hell out of me too. The resistance here is also down 76-1.

Greek resistance are also fighting to free Thrace, which is occupied by Bulgaria. This one is less confusing than the previous resistance war, but not going any better for Greece, as they are down here 18-3.

In the only battle not featuring the Greeks, Italian resistance is fighting a losing battle in Apulia, attempting to liberate the region from Serbia. Serbia leads comfortably 47-0.

With a successful liberation of Sloboda, Ukrainian resistance moved onto Donbas, but have been stonewalled by Hungary, who lead easily 40-4.

Sweden and Lithuania have been exchanging failed attacks the last three battles, the last being initiated by Sweden. With regained initiative, Lithuania launched an attack in Scania, where they currently lead 42-24, so we may see an end to the deadlock here.

Finland continues their fight to liberate Polish occupied regions, with a fierce battle in Aland. Poland currently leads 74-69, but this battle can still swing either way. This is the last Polish occupied region of Finland.

In Makkah, Saudi resistance forces looked to take advantage of Greece's struggles at home, launching a resistance war in Makkah, but Greece has been successful in defending the region, leading comfortably 66-0.

Saudi forces also attempt to liberate Eastern Province from Turkish occupation, but are not faring any better in this battle, with Turkey ahead 44-0.

Japan has launched a resistance war against Taiwan, this one in the region of Tohoku. The resistance currently holds a 31-24 lead. Speaking of Taiwan, Brazil was unsuccessful in their attempted invasion of the country, so Taiwan holds initiative in the war, but has yet to launch an attack.

A pair of resistance wars in New Zealand, the first in Canterbury against Chile. Chile is currently ahead 20-13.

The second is in Otago,
this one against Argentina, who are ahead 22-0.

News and notes:
Montenegro launched a resistance war against Serbia, in Central Montenegro. The resistance leads 9-2.
Iran continues their attempt to free Semnan from Turkey. This battle is tied at 0-0.
The US proposes Taiwan as natural enemy.
Cyprus proposes Egypt as natural enemy.
Macedonia proposes Albania as natural enemy.

Anyway, thanks for reading. As always, a lady to get you through the day.
