End the Bureaucracy - Vote Igor Thunderbrow and Eamon_de Valera

Day 497, 15:15 Published in Ireland Ireland by Igor Thunderbrow

A dhaoine uaisle,

Vote Igor Thunderbrow & Eamon_de Valera For a More Streamlined, Efficent Government

My issues with the current administration can be summed up in two words, bureaucracy and red tape.

A man who shares this view and has been an outspoken critic of Government mismanagement of funds in Eamon_de Valera, IUP congressman for the Northwest. I have selected him as my candidate for Tánaiste. He has worked hard to promote sensible spending of public funds. If elected Eamon will take a prominent role in looking after the country's finances to ensure that wasteful government spending is a thing of the past. Eamon shares my vision for a streamlined and more efficent government that works for the benefit of the eIrish people not the bureaucratic elite.

I have confidence that Eamon is the man for the job to help work towards a better government that works better for you.

Red Tape and a Screen of Convoluted Paperwork

The past administration hid behind a wall of long winded paperwork to cover up their inaction. Their first actual action was their sanctioning of our, what I view to be the undemocratic, accession to the ESA. Have we actually done anything withing the ESA? Has joining the ESA actually benefited a single eIrish citizen? I think not

Their only actual bill to be put to the Dáil (until a few days ago) was the Regional Assembly Bill. All this did was bloat the bureaucracy. Three hundred and sixty words and fifty two hours of dicussion, the result, six new forum sections, which have yet to be actually implemented I might add.

Then their only bill that actually does anything it Stark Hayter's "Referendum Policy and Referendum Organisation Bill", which guidelines the structuring of a referendum. This is of course welcome but it took extensive campaigning from myself and the Irish Union Party to get it done, after the eIrish people's democratic values were attacked by our accession into the ESA on the whim of eleven congressmen.

On the other hand the Irish Union Party has come up with real proposals and taken an active role in advancing our great country. After months of procrastination by various governments my campaigns for a constitution to be ratified and recognised by the Dáil came to fruition today. Now we have a true basis for our democracy, a framework for our great nation.

It was also new Irish Union Party congressman for Dublin Severin who proposed a cutting of the citizen fee which was recently passed by congress. This will help bring an end to money being wasted by going to new citizens who only play for a day. Then another IUP congressman Vyse had the innovative idea of paying 5IEP to anyone who registers on the eIreland forum. Thus thanks to the IUP, much money will be saved from going to new citizens who will play for only a day while at the same time not penalising citizens who plan on actually staying in eIreland.

For a Government unafraid to take action, vote Igor Thunderbrow and Eamon_de Valera.

State Companies

At the moment we have four state owned companies. In weapons, grain, housing and hospitals. Of these only the weapons and housing companies are active and until recently it was only the weapons company that actually produced anything.

Meanwhile two companies lie idle. The Irish Union Party believes in investment in the future. We believe that 1200 weapons is more than enough for the forseeable future. If elected the Irish Union Party will cease production of weapons and instead move towards long term investments in hospitals for the future of eIreland.

If elected our economic priorities will be to build hospitals for those regions that are without and to provide affordable housing for all eIrish citizens.

Housing

As I have mentioned previously the Irish Union Party wishes to concentrate heavily on providing affordable housing through the Irish State Housing Company initiative. To further this policy we wish to provide the eIrish public with a number of state backed financing schemes:

1) Renting: This was proposed by Vyse and will require an admin approved contrat to be signed between the government and a citizen in the eRepublik Forum contracts section. The citizen in question would pay weekly while in possession of the house and once they want to upgrade they can simply stop paying and give the house back (or the admin will take it off them...). This will be especially useful as it will save citizens the 8 or so GOLD required to buy a Q1 house which for many is just a stepping stone to higher quality housing.

2) Mortgage: This will be similar to the renting system but will give the citizen possession of the house. They will make weekly payments for a medium to long term period until the proce of the house and interest in paid off. This obviously has benefits for eIrish citizens like mortgages have in RL. It will require the meeting of similar requirements as in RL. This will not just apply to Irish State Housing Houses. I would hope to get a number of higher quality housing companies on board to provide this system to those requiring higer quality housing.

3) Bonds Saving Scheme: Under this scheme a citizen will pay a certain amount of money on a weekly basis and will recieve their money back with interest at a later period, the interest being incremental to the period saved and the amount invested. This has the dual benefits of allowing citizens to save sensibly for the future but also of providing cash on hand for government expenditure.

Eamon_de Valera as vice president will take a highly active role in ensuring that all these economic schemes run swimmingly. We wish to end government wastage and work towards a brighter future and future that is worth investing in.
