Join the new world

Hello citizens of Kansas! It is my honor to be running to represent you in congress this month. I was originally not going to run because I was not sure I would be able to fulfill the duties I would require of myself in congress because I am away IRL but I have computer access on my trip so I am running to represent you this month!

Last month was my first term elected as congressman. I gained a lot of valuable experience from my first term and look forward to being able to represent you in my second. There are three things that I base my campaign on for congress: Activity, Being your Voice, and Education.

Activity
-I will not fail to complete the weekly sign in that congress has to establish quorum. I will also keep up to date on every discussion presented and provide feedback.

-I will not promise daily sign in as I am not sure I will be able to due to my RL military exercise, however I will tell you I have signed in daily since my eBirthday on May 1st, and will continue to strive to that end.

Your Voice in the Government

-Last month I was approached by a new citizen about a program he would like to see about learning the ropes in congress. Rather than ignoring him or shuffling him off, my reply was to write up a proposal for that program and bring it to congress. While it was shot down and reduced to an informal thing, I still put it out there for discussion in congress. I hope that this shows you I am not afraid to step out for my constituents.

-With me I promise an open door policy. If elected to congress (and even if I’m not) you have full access to me either through ingame PM, or my IRC office channel #emdoublegee’s . Please do not hesitate to approach me if you have any ideas, concerns, or questions!

Education

-I am committed to new player education. Now, more than ever due to this new military module, we need active, educated players to fill out our division 1-2 ranks.

-I have worked closely with Dennis McVicker, our Secretary of Education to place into effect programs for helping new players, and will continue to be active in the DoE until I am kicked out for being old and crusty or they want some new blood. Even if this happens, I will continue to mentor and educate any new players I meet, it’s in my blood.

Closing Statements

This country is only as strong as its players, and especially in this time of uncertainty with Poland at our front gates that we need to band together to strengthen it.
