eDino Remembers
eDino WikiEd
I began to work on the wiki and on 11th July 2009 was awarded the title of Uber Editor.
Today I am in the top 10 eRep Wiki Editors of all time... (a real live Book-worm Dinosaur).
It is rumoured that I am suffering from a serious case of Wikipediholism.
The world was very different in those early days when I joined the New World. There were no Boosters, no Training Grounds.
But, there were literary hundreds, if not thousands of people meeting in all types of Forums, Chatrooms,... party rooms were crowded, elections were unbelievable - with thousands of voters taking part in most elections.
Sometimes it was hard to follow discussion in a Chat-room as the screen would often fly so fast it was impossible to read comments.
Bob Boblo and Bobloism, do I need to say more in UK? That Forum went for ever and everywhere... it was eRep Forum, and it was everything else... anyway don't wish to get Spam members too excited... So I better change the subject here.
UK Nov 2009 Presidential election - 1369 votes cast
These days, how many voters can we bring to an election, 100? maybe 200?
Congress elections
In the old days, Congress elections were heavily contested, as every citizen had to win votes by himself if he was to be elected.
No such nonsense as joining a top 5 political party; be placed on a voting ticket by PP and you are elected.... no need to lift a finger now-days. I am sorry, but that is a sham.
Over 1000 votes in Congress elections. Check Last placed party in December 2009 elections: The British Empire Party has won only 3 seats - by polling 134 votes.
Any idea how many voters turn up at the election these days?? (Total number of voters 69 at last election). And it is the same all over the New World.
Gods have changed the New World, and it is what we have today. A shadow of something that could have been a great New World.
Profits have won the day.
Today, we can buy 450 pixel-Gold for only 100 Euros... not interested??
How about a Large Box of tokens pack for the same price... NO??
Well, surely a Pack every Hero must have: a Hero pack for only 100Euros!!
...and that is The New World we have today....
Time for this eDinosaur to go to sleep and dream of what might have been.

Erepublic000 was the party president of INGSOC, he ran a party forum where he'd delete/edit messages to fit his big brother narrative. I miss that guy.
ha... Welcome Party president of INGSOC(UK).
The original INGSOC was run by "The Triumvirate": Father, Teacher, and Watcher. They had their own WebPage. They developed their own dialect/language (most of it lost). Here is a sample:
“ Minitrue mark current policies in South Korea Doubleplusungood CRIMETHINK. Miniluv mark Minigov to rectify fullwise to meet necessity of doubleplusgood ”
Father, Teacher and Watcher were well developed high ranking citizens who turned up from nowhere. Everything was controlled by them country politics, economy, employment, country markets...
Their real identity was so secret that no one knew who they were... until a citizen named Hrvat entered their Chat room when it was empty and collected secret identity information. Within days INGSOC was disbanded and the public was shocked when "The Triumvirate" revealed themselves.
The South Korean one did have a doubleplusgood origin story.
I subscribed to your newspaper a long time ago. It is very sad see you only have 38 subscribers only even though you are an editor. WELL done for all the work you have been putting in the game. It seems very hard work. All these years i have viewed and lived the changes in the game. I have never ever used real money in the game and it took me about 10-11 years to catch up and have q7 food and gun factories. The House factory and having people to work for me was and still is the hardest part of the game. I cant afford workers. The game HAS become part of my life and there is no single day that i do not think about logging on. Keep up with the good work.
Thank you, George. Best wishes on your travels through the New World.

Dobrodošao natrag.
Really interesting article
Thank you. I have subbed your newspaper.
I think I remember voting in that election!
WHO FOR!
It must have been for Mr. Vampire
It was 100% Alt, he was in the navy! But I probably voted for you more than enough over the years.
o ye same
Voted and old subscription.
I more or less remember part of the old times, things were way more active and social, war module was not so prominent as today, politics were a bit more ideological (for better or worse)...
Funnily erep is still one million of times more active than the erep clone game I play, in that game even the largest countries have less than 69 votes on elections (a good amount of these are multies), any country outside the top 10 have like 3, 4 votes at most (probably all multies of the same guy anyway), and in many times there was no articles published in the last 2 days in the entire world... usually there are only like 2, 3 articles at most. So I still feel this thing as considerably active in comparison...
It does not help that so-called developers in that other game had no original idea for the game. Everything is cloned, copied, borrowed from somewhere else.
Not to mention that the game was sold and resold so many times, and the new every new owner had no clear idea what the game should be.
Good old days...
Well it was good while it lasted..
Game is on machines for years now, and I doubt that things will change. But its not dying either. I've been waiting for someone to turn off the lights for years now..
I guess 20k euros per month is still something. Not like 500k in 2012 but still, as long as they can keep the servers running for 500 euros and get a 19.5k profit - it works. Its kinda funny that the game worked even better then than it does now. It looked like tetris. But we loved it.
Good job. Nice to hear stories from the e-past...
